The Witcher 3 is making a comeback this December with a next-gen update that will rejuvenate the game for newer hardware and consoles. The Witcher 3 will most likely see a surge in players, with many experiencing the game and its content with visual and quality-of-life updates.
Since many fans will replay The Witcher 3, there will be many that might come across obstacles when completing quests and contracts. One such contract, Deadly Delights, can be quite challenging. Deadly Delights can be acquired in Novigrad and requires Geralt to investigate what happened to the city guards and solve the problem for good. To complete this quest, players must be level 15 or above.
Deadly Delights – Complete Walkthrough
The Contract: Deadly Delights can be acquired from the notice board near the Golden Sturgeon at the docks west of Hierarch Square in Novigrad. Once the quest is initiated, locate the guard near the fish market. Negotiate a price for the job and head to the doctor who examined the city guards' bodies.
The doctor will provide information regarding the deaths of the city guards, and will state that he doubts that these murders were the doings of a monster. Head over to the crime scene and examine it for clues. Players will notice the horseshoe tracks left by a two-legged creature. Follow the tracks to Crippled Kate’s brothel, and talk to the brothel owner. Use the Delusion ability, if available, to get information about the succubus that assists her and a key to her house. Without the Delusion ability, players must find out about the succubus from the empty perfume vial at the back of the brothel.
Head over to the succubus’ house and talk to the man next to it. After talking to him, Geralt concludes he is under the influence of the succubus. Since the house is locked, enter the neighboring house and climb the top floor and then the ladder to get to the attic. Geralt will meet the succubus, Salma, and the player must decide whether to kill or spare her. This decision affects the rewards that the player will receive.
Once she has either been killed or spared, return to the guard and inform him about the culprit to collect the reward.

Killing the Succubus
The player will need to fight the succubus in order to defeat her. If they succeed, Geralt will acquire the succubus mutagen, a relic sword, and the succubus trophy.
Killing the succubus presents one of two opportunities for the player to acquire the succubus mutagen in the game.
Sparing the Succubus
If the player decides to spare the succubus, they will get the succubus trophy and a relic sword. The succubus trophy can be used to convince the guard that the culprit has been dealt with.

If the player decides to fight and kill Salma, certain techniques can make the fight easier:
- Use the steel sword against the succubus to dispose of her quickly.
- Use the Aard or Axii signs to interrupt the succubus while she is casting spells. The Aard and Axii signs will also leave the succubus open to attack.
- Use Dimeritium bombs to prevent the succubus from casting spells.
