The Walking Dead: Destinies focuses on creating an alternative version of AMC's The Walking Dead based on the choices made by those who play it. There are all sorts of gameplay sequences in The Walking Dead: Destinies, and so while decision-making is an important part of it, fans will also have to prove how well they can stay hidden during stealth sections and they'll also have to engage in combat quite often.

Players must protect Shane from a horde of walkers in the school gym - here are some tips.

Gamers will find themselves low on health if a couple of walkers that a chunk out of them, and during these critical moments, it's important to know how to get back up. This guide will show players how they can heal in The Walking Dead: Destinies, even if there is no medicine nearby.

How to Heal

using fire axe and finding first aid kit

Whether a character is Wrathful and close to death or they have a scar or debuff that's hindering their performance, gamers will have to find a way to heal them in order to be able to complete their mission without being met with a Game Over screen.

Medicine

There are three types of medicine in The Walking Dead: Destinies, and they're all effective ways to get a character's health back up. Players can pick up painkillers, medicine, and first aid kits to increase their HP.

This is the easiest way to heal in-game. However, gamers can only carry one item at a time, so if they consume it or swap it for another item, they'll run out and be unable to heal, and they might have to resort to performing executions to increase their health.

Executions

As gamers take out walkers, they'll earn adrenaline from kills. Once the adrenaline fills in their heart meter, they'll be able to perform an execution, which instantly takes down a walker and heals back some health. This is the only way to heal in The Walking Dead: Destinies if the player doesn't have access to meds.

Players can stealth-kill a few walkers to increase a character's adrenaline, then if they execute a walker they'll earn back some health. They can quietly repeat these steps until they're at full health.

How to Improve Healing Effects

unlocking maggie skills

Players can unlock certain skills in order to improve characters' health or how much they'll heal if they take meds. Carl has skills that reduce incoming damage, and Daryl has a skill that increases characters' HP permanently. However, out of the 15 characters in The Walking Dead: Destinies, Maggie has the best healing-focused skills. Here is how Maggie can improve players' healing capabilities:

  • Doctor I: Heals 30 percent more with healing items
  • Doctor II: Heals 50 percent more with healing items
  • Doctor III: Heals 70 percent more with healing items.

If players told Beth to go on a mission while resolving a group conflict earlier on, they will have to choose between Maggie and Carl later on, after protecting Shane in the school gym. If they decide to leave Maggie behind, they'll lose access to some of these useful skills.
