Using the creative tools available to them as well as a useful mod, a player has managed to build an upside-down home in The Sims 4. It has been a while since The Sims 4 base game came out, nearly nine years in fact. The Sims Team is currently working on the next entry for The Sims series with the development of Project Rene, which will eventually become the fifth mainline Sims game. Gamers have been anticipating its release, but many are still enjoying The Sims 4 and its various expansion packs.

With nearly a decade gone by since it was first released, The Sims 4 finally went free-to-play in 2022, allowing more gamers to enjoy the classic life simulator with the base game free of charge on every platform. Players that want to experience more activities, events, and try out new building styles, can take a look at the dozens of expansion packs that have come out over the years to increase gameplay and building options.

Regardless of whether players own DLC or not, the base game has a lot to offer, and players can certainly enjoy themselves for a while if they take their time to explore everything it includes. SarahSweetSims, a member of The Sims 4 subreddit, recently shared an upside-down home that they built, and they did so with only access to the base game, the Greenhouse Haven kit, and a building mod.

In the comment section, other fans showed how impressed they were with the builder's incredible skills. The house itself is already pretty well done, but the fact that it's completely upside down is astonishing. Using the T.O.O.L. building mod for The Sims 4, they managed to put the house's roof where the foundation would've been. This was the only mod that the creator decided to use because they wanted to really challenge themselves.

The player that built the home shared it on the Gallery for everyone to try out; fans interested in checking it out in-game can do so by looking up ID SarahSweets. The Sims 4 Gallery has thousands of builds for players to explore and place in their save files including things like family homes, rooms, restaurants, bowling alleys, wedding venues, parks, and much more. There are all sorts of creations in the Gallery, and its filters allow gamers to select which expansion packs they own so that they'll only encounter pack-compatible creations.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
