The Sims 4: Spa Day introduces all kinds of relaxation and self-care activities for Sims to enjoy, including massages, manicures and pedicures, face masks, Meditation, and more. Sims who deliver these services or participate in wellness activities will earn the Wellness Skill. So whether Sims want to master emotional mindfulness or be the best spa owner around, the Wellness Skill has many benefits.
Wellness is an excellent way for Sims to avoid negative moods and moodlets and is a more relaxing way to exercise, even for Active Sims. Sims can also gain certain abilities once they reach a high enough level through Meditation, giving them otherworldly powers. Additionally, Sims can earn extra cash by running a home spa using Wellness items found in Build/Buy mode. So, here's everything players need to know about the Wellness Skill in The Sims 4: Spa Day.
How to Build the Wellness Skill
Sims have a good variety of methods for learning the Wellness Skill. As with most major skills, players can purchase a Wellness Skill book from any bookshelf. Bookworm Sims have an easier time picking up on skills from reading, and they are more likely to stay focused on the activity.
Players can also purchase items like a Yoga Mat and Meditation Stool to improve their Wellness. When Sims first get started with Meditation, they may get bored, but as their skill increases, they will get more out of it. Yoga, while mentally stimulating, is also a physical activity, so the Hygiene need goes down relatively fast while practicing yoga. Sims can participate in guided classes of each activity for a boost in skill progression.
Another way to practice Wellness is to give massages using a Massage Chair or Table. However, if a Sim has a low Wellness Skill level, they risk giving a lousy massage and leaving themselves and the customer with negative moodlets. To boost the chances of providing a good massage, players should try and have their Sims in a Focused mood.

Practice Yoga and Meditation
Sims with Hot-Headed or High Maintenance traits can use Yoga and Meditation to curb their anger and other negative moodlets they are prone to experiencing. While they can do both activities generally, there are specific types of Yoga routines they can participate in to steer their emotions in a particular direction. Yoga is also great for cardio without a treadmill or jogging.
Sims who unlock the ability to teleport during Meditation can teleport to secret locations and hidden lots around the worlds. In addition, Sims can find rare collectibles, frogs, fish, and other items at secret locations, so visiting is a must to discover more of the lore in The Sims 4.
Own a Spa
After reaching Wellness level 6, Sims can complete spa services for other Sims at decent prices using the Massage Table and the Spa Chair. A home spa can produce a solid income if they build a large enough customer base. Luckily, there are ways for them to advertise themselves online to encourage Sims to visit their spa setup.
Sims who give spa services Focused and with a high Wellness Skill are more likely to have happier customers and can get away with charging higher prices for massages, manicures, and pedicures.
