The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff pack brought back a classic Sims character named Bonehilda. Bonehilda is a skeleton maid with a flirty personality who can be summoned to help with tasks around the house or even provide companionship. In the past, players could purchase a special coffin that placed Bonehilda on their lots, but in The Sims 4, she is only available through more temporary methods.
Sims can become Mediums and Paranormal Investigators with the Paranormal Stuff DLC, and as their connection with the spirit world strengthens, their powers grow. Soon they are able to communicate clearly with the departed and unlock special abilities, including a summoning ritual for the iconic Sim. So, this guide covers how to summon and befriend Bonehilda in The Sims 4.
Increase Medium Skill
The key to summoning Bonehilda lies within the Medium Skill and the Séance Table. The Séance Table is found in Build/Buy mode along with a Crystal Ball that can be placed in the center for a more authentic experience. The Medium Skill is a minor skill, so players must only reach five levels to max it out. They must be at a minimum of level three if they want to summon Bonehilda. Using the Seance Table in any way will increase Medium Skill, but it does have some interesting consequences.
Interactions with the Séance Table almost always encourage ghostly spirits to make themselves at home wherever Sims are using it. Unfortunately, this often results in them gaining scared or terrified moodlets, which makes it hard for Sims to focus on getting anything else done outside of running around or trying to hide under their covers. Players can purchase the Brave trait from the Rewards store for 8,000 satisfaction points to keep them from being overwhelmed with fear while working on their Medium Skill.
How to Summon Bonehilda
Sims must be at Medium Skill level three to summon Bonehilda. While having a Sim use the Séance table, the "Summon Bonehilda" option will appear if their Medium Skill is high enough. Sims will perform a short summoning ritual, and she will appear as an NPC in the household. Bonehilda will hang around, take care of some chores, repair broken items, and gift Sims with random foods. Bonehilda will also confront mischievous ghosts if Sims are in a Haunted House lot.
Sims can ask her to hang out after summoning her, but eventually, she will disappear, and they will have to resummon her. Although Bonehilda is a supernatural Sim, Sims can befriend her and even get into a Romantic relationship. Any interaction with the Seance Table will increase the Medium Skill. Whenever Sims reach level five, they can form a Seance circle anywhere in the world to summon her there and do activities together. Bonehilda is a fun Sim with a penchant for flirting with others, so players can enjoy getting to know her.
