Players of The Sims 4 will soon be able to show off their love for the Mass Effect series with the opportunity to decorate Sims with N7 Day-themed clothing items, which are to be available to players for free. The exclusive wearable items to arrive in The Sims 4 are coming as part of a crossover between the two popular franchises to commemorate Mass Effect's N7 Day.

The occasion itself is a celebration of the life and community of the Mass Effect games, and takes place every year on November 7th. As many invested Mass Effect fans may already know, the very first Mass Effect title was released on November 16, 2007, making the month a particularly special one for the series' lively fanbase. N7 Day typically has fans celebrate by sharing posts featuring their own art, memorable screenshots, and more.

The approaching crossover between Mass Effect and The Sims 4 was revealed by BioWare in an announcement that included the studio's thanks to their community while also hinting at their work regarding the next entry to the Mass Effect series. BioWare revealed that a crossover with The Sims 4 would be adding several Mass Effect-themed clothing items to the simulation game, apparently including shirts, beanies, caps, and tattoos which sport the N7 insignia. BioWare informed fans that these items will be available for free to all players, and will be arriving in the game on November 17th.

This will allow fans of Mass Effect to show their love for the series in The Sims 4 by decorating their characters with the unique pieces of clothing. These items come as an addition to the game's existing library of outfits, which provides players a massive range of options which can be used to dress their Sims up for any occasion, be it for parties, business meetings, or simply just to wear to bed.

The new clothes are sure to be welcome additions to the closets of any Mass Effect fans, though Sims 4 players who are disinterested in BioWare's sci-fi action role-playing game understandably don't get the appeal. Further, some fans have even laughed at the prospect of the crossover itself merely being an opportunity for EA to promote their other games, with some poking fun at it being a form of in-game advertisement. While it's only a small content drop for the game, there's no doubt that it goes appreciated by Mass Effect fans this N7 day.

The Sims 4 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
