Some legitimate-looking promo materials that appear to detail the next The Sims 4 expansion pack have surfaced online, having been unearthed by an avid dataminer. The leak implies that the game's next add-on will be called Lovestruck and become available to The Sims 4 players in July 2024.

The Sims 4: Lovestruck Expansion Announcement May Be Coming Soon

Maxis now plans to follow up on that release with Lovestruck, a romance-themed expansion that will hit the market on July 25. That's according to some newly surfaced information procured by dataminer Anadius, who recently shared a number of promotional materials detailing the unannounced DLC, including its key art and storefront description, via Twitter. EA managed to remove the leaked images from Anadius's original tweet by filing a copyright claim, but not before their mirrors started making the rounds on social media.

The leaked product description indicates that Lovestruck pre-orders will go live on June 27. It's currently unclear whether the expansion is planned to be announced before that date. Anadius reports that Lovestruck will be priced at $39.99, the same as every other expansion pack for The Sims 4. Anyone who buys the upcoming add-on by September 5 will also receive a number of early adopter bonuses, including a Cry Me A River Eyeliner, Herbert Heart Plushie, and Basic Breakup Double Bed, as per the same source.

The Sims 4: Lovestruck Will Reportedly Introduce New Romance Skill

The leaked product description states that Lovestruck will introduce new intimate interactions like cuddling in bed and seductive dancing. A Cupid's Corner dating app will also be part of the package, together with a new The Sims 4 world called Ciudad Enamorada, which is Spanish for "city in love." Ciudad Enamorada will have three neighborhoods, all geared toward romantic activities. A new Romance Consultant career will also be included, as will a Romantic Satisfaction system comprising "turn-ons" and "turn-offs" that determine how Sims are attracted to one another. The product description also mentions the addition of a new Romance skill.

By the sound of things, Lovestruck will largely serve as an alternative to a number of highly popular The Sims 4 romance mods. The social media reactions to this leak appear to be mixed; some fans have welcomed the idea of a romance-focused expansion pack, while others opined that things like the Romance skill and cuddling in bed should have been included in the base game ages ago.
