The Gardening skill in The Sims 4 is one of the most demanding skills available for players to max out. Reaching level ten requires a lot of garden work, but it also rewards players with some pretty unique abilities. Growing plants is a relatively straightforward process, but some plants, like the Dragon Fruit Plant, are harder to grow than others.

The Dragon Fruit plant in The Sims 4 can be exceptionally difficult to acquire due to how it grows. Unlike other, more common plants, players won't be able to find it while exploring the world and will instead need to grow it manually. The process of growing a Dragon Fruit Plant can be a little confusing, but there are a few tricks to make it easier.

Choosing the Harvest option while interacting with these plants will cause their seeds to be added to the Sim's inventory. The seeds can then be planted and grown to create new Strawberry Bushes and Snapdragon Flowers for the Sim to harvest.

To grow a Dragon Fruit, the player will need to ensure that their Sim is at least Level 5 in the Gardening skill, as this level allows them to cut and graft plants with each other. To graft one plant to another, the Sim must Cut a piece from one plant and then interact with another to be given the Graft option.

Grafting a Strawberry Bush onto a Snapdragon Flower will result in the spliced plant producing Dragon Fruit, which can then be harvested and added to the Sim's inventory.

Since Dragon Fruit is less likely to spawn than Snapdragon Seeds and Strawberries, players mightn't get any during their first attempt. It might take a while, but so long as the plant players have grafted a Strawberry Bush with a Snapdragon Flower, they will eventually grow a Dragon Fruit.

After harvesting a Dragon Fruit from the spliced plant, it can be dragged into the world from the Sim's inventory; then, players can interact with it to plant it in the ground. After a few days and some watering, the Dragon Fruit Plant will mature into a fully grown shrub, from which players can acquire Dragon Fruit by selecting the Harvest option.

Players will also be able to use their Dragon Fruit Plant to acquire Cowplant Berries, but only if they graft it with a Snapdragon Flower. Cowplant Berries, when planted and watered, will result in the growth of a Cowplant, one of the strangest and rarest plants in The Sims 4.

The Sims 4 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
