Vampires were introduced to The Sims 4 as a part of The Sims 4: Vampires expansion pack. Not only do they make the game more exciting, but they also bring variety with their special abilities. These supernatural creatures have a unique appearance and certainly present many interesting challenges.
No doubt, roaming around as a vampire is fun, but players may want to return to a normal Sim for various reasons. For starters, vampires have certain weaknesses to balance their extraordinary powers. They are particularly vulnerable to sunlight, limiting outdoor activities during the day and making it challenging for players to fulfill their needs. In addition, vampires need to regularly consume plasma to satisfy their thirst, which can also be challenging at times. Whatever the case is, this guide will walk players through the steps for curing vampirism in The Sims 4.
How to Cure Vampirism in The Sims 4
Unfortunately, curing vampirism in The Sims 4 can be a bit of a process. To bring a vampire Sim back to their normal state, players will have to make them drink ‘The Ultimate Vampire Cure.’ As a prerequisite, players are required to reach level 15 in the Vampire Lore skill to learn its recipe. This can be achieved by reading vampire books or using the computer to research vampire lore. Alternatively, players can also use the following cheat code to level up the Vampire Lore skill:
stats.set_skill_level VampireLore X (replace X with any skill level)
As with all cheats, players will need to open the cheat console first. It is pertinent to mention that players can use other Sims for this purpose as well; it doesn’t necessarily have to be the same Sim players want to cure.
The recipe for The Ultimate Vampire Cure drink calls for the following ingredients:
- 10 x Garlic
- 10 x Wolfsbane
- 10 x Plasma Fruit
- 2,500 Simoleons (in-game currency).
Luckily, all three ingredients can be found in the same region, i.e., the Forgotten Hollow. Garlic can be harvested, or players can also grow it from its seeds, which can be ordered using the computer. Apart from The Ultimate Vampire Cure drink, garlic can be used to craft a number of other items as well, including Garlic Wreath, Garlic Garland, and more.
Wolfsbane plants are identifiable by their blue-purple flowers. The last ingredient, Plasma Fruit, can be plucked from its trees in the Forgotten Hollow. With all required ingredients in hand, create The Ultimate Vampire Cure at a bar and have the vampire Sim drink it to cure vampirism.
