How to Learn the Horse Riding Skill

In order to learn the Horse Riding Skill in The Sims 4, the Sim must have an adult horse that they can ride. Even though it's definitely rewarding to own a foal in The Sims 4, they are too small to be mounted, so gamers must either wait until they age up or get an adult horse instead.

If an adult horse that the Sim knows is around, they can interact with it and select the Mount option to get on its back. Then, they can select the ride option and send the pair out on a relaxed, energetic, or intense ride, or they can select an area and order the horse to walk, trot, or canter there. Any of these interacts will automatically unlock the Horse Riding Skill.

Children can ride horses, and they will gain the Motor Skill and the Horse Riding Skill simultaneously.

How to Master the Horse Riding Skill

The Horse Riding Skill has ten levels that Sims can progress through, but it can take quite a while. To increase a Sim's Horse Riding Skill, all Sims have to do is continue to ride around on their horses.
