While San Sequoia doesn't have any hidden areas, the showcase trailer for The Sims 4: Growing Together features a beautiful lake and parks that players can explore by taking a Power Walk. This activity, while relatively simple, can be a relaxing and enjoyable way for players to observe and take pictures of the stunning scenery.

However, it may not be immediately apparent how to initiate a Power Walk, as it cannot be done by simply clicking on the paths or Sims. Nonetheless, once players discover how to do so, they can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of San Sequoia's natural surroundings.

How To Go For A Power Walk in Sims 4

The activity of Power Walking in the San Sequoia world can be a bit challenging for players to discover as it is not explicitly indicated in the game. The only hint given is to take a walk on the scenic paths of the neighborhood once players hover over the Gilbert Gardens neighborhood description on the Manage Worlds screen.

To initiate a Power Walk, players must first locate the interactable object in the Gilbert Gardens neighborhood, where the Recreational Center is also situated.

Unfortunately, this object can be easily missed as it is relatively small and inconspicuous and looks just like another modern statue. When players are looking towards the recreational center's entrance, they should pan down-right to spot the object located by the shore, to the left of a greenhouse-like building, and the picnic table under the sun shade.

Once clicked, a menu with several options, including jogging, power walking, walking, and reflective walking around the lake, will appear, and players can choose the activity they wish to participate in, including group options.

It's important to note that players don't need to have a specific moodlet , such as being energized, to engage in power walking. Additionally, the activity of reflective walking can be useful for combating burnout and stress.

Although power walks are an enjoyable activity in San Sequoia, their accessibility is limited to one specific neighborhood due to their association with a world item. Unlike Build/Buy items or self-interactions, players can only participate in this activity when they are in proximity to the interactable object.

This limitation is similar to the exploration of Mt. Komorebi in the Snowy Escape expansion pack, which provides players with various activities, including hiking and excursions to the mountains, but can only be accessed within the confines of that world.

What Happens During Power Walk Action?

After players select the "Power Walk Around The Lake" or "Power Walk Around The Lake With..." option, they will be taken to the starting point with their Sim(s) and any other participants they have chosen.

If players have selected to do the activity with other Sims, they will be first prompted to choose who they want to participate with. It's worth noting that players and the other Sims will have to walk or run to the start location, which is the object, and this can take some time since the area is quite far from the Recreational Center.

The journey to the starting point might be especially time-consuming if players start from another venue, as the area is somewhat isolated. However, the beautiful scenery along the way makes for a pleasant experience, and players can take in the serene surroundings as they make their way toward the lake.

During the Power Walk activity, players will notice that the Sims' movement animation differs considerably from jogging and walking. It's somewhere in between, which makes it a unique experience. As the Sims power walk, they will build their fitness skills, just like when they go for a jog.

Additionally, if players have chosen to go on the walk with a group of Sims, they will be interacting with each other as they follow the path, which is a great way to build relationships. Sims can be seen performing various actions during the walk, such as stopping to catch their breath or checking their phone.

At the end of the trip, Sims might also receive a moodlet, either positive or negative. While this activity is undoubtedly fun for Sims, it can also be quite relaxing for the players if they pay attention to the routes and surroundings the Sims are taking.

Therefore, it is recommended that players play the game at normal speed and with the camera view zoomed in so that they can capture the best angles of San Sequoia and their Sims.

Infants Can Be Taken on Power Walks

A general advantage of infants being rather dependent on caregiver Sims is that they are actually relatively easy to carry around. As such, power walks are one of those great activities to include infants in.

To be able to do so, players will need to place the infant in a back carrier before interacting with the Power Walk Object. For this, players can utilize either the carrier from the pack (Infant Wrangler) or the limited-time exclusive object, Power Walk Companion. During the interaction, infants can even fall asleep.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
