Family and legacy players have slowly been getting more content to suit their needs in The Sims 4. Parenthood and Toddler are some of the best packs for family-style players and very soon there will be even more content with the new infant life state that's coming in the free update of the game as well as the new expansion pack The Sims 4: Growing Together.

There will be a new world with new lots and premade houses for Simmers to place their families in, but for those who want more options, there are plenty of wonderful starter and family homes that are available for download for The Sims 4.

10 3 Bedroom Starter House - $18,254

The Three Bedroom Starter Home is a build by JJ_Baggins. It's CC-free and is a one-floor home with a patio out front. As the name suggests it has three bedrooms with a double bed in two of them and a single in one of them.

There's one bathroom for the household to use with a shower and a large kitchen that sits as the centerpiece of the home. It only costs $18,254 and is built with Base Game items only, making it something that every Simmer can use.

9 Comfy Cubby BG Starter - $19,989

TrimbleTwist is the creator of the very aptly named Comfy Cubby BG Starter. It includes two bedrooms, one which is a master bedroom and another that's used as the kid's room. This house has two bathrooms, a half bath on the first floor and a full bath on the second floor.

There's also an office that overlooks the front of the house that can easily be made into another kid's room or even a nursery once Infants are released. TrimbleTwist also included three lot traits, Homey, Fast Internet, and Natural Light.

8 18K Early Spring Starter - $17,869

The 18K Early Spring Starter was created by schnuck01 and is another starter home that's under $20,000. It's a one-story home that has three bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. There's a nice little porch set up in the backyard where Sims can sit under the umbrella of the patio table.

The Early Spring Starter has a large living room with a fireplace. And though The Sims 4 doesn't have cars, yet, there's an added touch of hominess with the little car garage off to the side of the house.

7 Abigail Starter B/G - $17,894

The Abigail Starter Home is a Base Game build by wrathofcath. It has a modern feel to it and is nicely landscaped with a small driveway. It has two bedrooms, one master bedroom with a double bed, and a kids' room with a set of bunk beds. The kids' room comes with two activity tables and a Blarffy stuffed toy.

There are two bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower. The build also includes a fishpond and an easel in the backyard that will let adult Sims get started on their fishing and painting skills as soon as they're moved in.

6 Monttero Flats Reno - $122,138

For players who aren't starting out with new families and need more space for their legacy Sims, the Monttero Flats Reno by galaxysuede is a great choice. This build is completely CC-free and requires Seasons, Jungle Adventures, Laundry, Desert Luxe, and Get Together. It includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom while the two other bedrooms share a bathroom.

It also includes a living room with a fireplace, a large dining room, and a home office. It has the lot traits Homey, Child's Play which gives a playful moodlet to child Sims and Childish Sims. And On Ley Line which makes it more likely for Sims to have twins.

5 Big Family House For 7 Sims - $122,228

RachelPedd made a lovely family house for seven Sims that's completely CC-free. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other has two single beds.

The highlight of the first floor is the large playroom that's situated in the center of the house that has everything a child Sim could need. There's one full bathroom with a tub and shower combo on the first floor. The hallway on the second floor is also used as an office space.

4 Tiny Family House - $19,487

Tiny Living introduced build/buy items that take up minimal space and are multi-functional. These items an integral to building any sort of tiny home for the game. And while most Simmers would want a big house for their Sim families, for those wanting the challenge (or the perks) of living in a tiny home mipikoism's Tiny Family Home is perfect for them.

It includes all the necessities for a family of three with a toddler. It includes an open floor plan for the living room and the kitchen, a full bath with a tub and shower combo, and a potty chair. And it's one bedroom can accommodate both a double bed and a toddler bed.

3 Base Game Starter 2/2 - $19,420

Mizzzspirit's Base Game Starter is perfect for a two-Sim household to begin planting their roots. It has a very open living room and kitchen that has a table to seat four. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There's a full one downstairs and another full one with a tub upstairs.

There's a cozy Master bedroom and a cute kids' room with a bunk bed. There's also a door that leads to a balcony that overlooks the front of the house. There's a patio table with an umbrella out in the backyard that's right beside the home's personal fishing spot.

2 Sunbeam - $247,884

Sparklili is the creator of the lovely and lavish Sunbeam home. The bold colors of the exterior give it a sleek and luxurious feel to it. And that feeling of luxury continues with the kitchen and dining area. On one side of the house is a living room with a wide-screen television and a chess table. Also on the first floor is a home office that is also a study room and an art room.

There's an adjourning mixed media room where Sims can take up and play different instruments, sing karaoke, and more. The second floor contains all three bedrooms and two of the three bathrooms. There's a Master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a kids' room with two single beds, and a teen room with a double bed. There's a third floor with a home gym and a basement that has a ping pong table set up.

1 Courtland Family Home - $127,214

The Courtland Family Home is a pretty suburban three-story home that's made to fit a seven-Sim family. The first floor has a bedroom with a double bed. Across the hall from that bedroom is a playroom area that could easily be turned into a nursery.

Upstairs there is the Master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a toddler room, and a shared kid's room with two single beds. Out in the backyard are a small pool and some monkey bars for the kids to play on.

The Sims 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
