Released in late 2014, The Sims 4 is the latest entry in The Sims, the acclaimed series of life simulation games developed by legendary studio Maxis. Since its launch nearly a decade ago, the title has received several DLC packs and even adopted a free-to-play model. The Sims 4, however, still continues to exhibit plenty of technical issues despite its age. Fortunately, efforts in addressing such problems should improve moving forward.

Even with all of its possibilities, The Sims 4 can still get boring after a while. These storylines should help liven things up.

In the most recent post on the developer's Laundry List blog, it was announced that more reported The Sims 4 concerns should be fixed over the next six months and beyond. A team focused on investing in the game's core experience has been assembled, which should increase the number of fixes that can be addressed, according to the statement dated May 23. This move should also improve the frequency of how often updates can be shipped out for The Sims 4, which is considered by some to be the worst mainline game in the entire The Sims franchise.

New Fixes for The Sims 4 Bugs and Glitches

The blog post listed issues that are being aimed to be addressed by the next patch, but there were supposedly improvements to The Sims 4 that were not mentioned. Among the many identified problems was the Summon Grilled Cheese interaction dropping from the interaction queue. One can become addicted to the sandwich type by pursuing a hidden aspiration, and it is just one of the many weird things that a player can do in The Sims 4.

The latest entry in the Laundry List blog highlighted concerns that showed up in some of The Sims 4's expansion packs as well, namely Cats & Dogs, Cottage Living, Dine Out, Eco Lifestyle, For Rent, Get to Work, Growing Together, High School Years, Horse Ranch, Island Living, and Seasons. These included animation issues in Seasons and disappearing items in Cottage Living, among other things. The newly formed team's first patch will be released by the end of May, and it will be followed up roughly every two months.

Maxis is currently working on the successor to The Sims 4, which is officially referred to as Project Rene. Dubbed by many as The Sims 5, Project Rene will supposedly introduce fundamental evolutions with how players create and customize their worlds. The Sims 5 will also feature multiplayer elements, the first game in the franchise to do so.
