Yesterday, the official Twitter account of The Simsposted a video teasing that a new expansion pack is on the way for The Sims 4. True to its word, EA dropped a new trailer for The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion, which as the name suggests, promotes a more environmentally-friendly way for players to live out their digital lives in the popular life-simulator game.

As revealed in a new trailer that was released alongside the announcement, The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion pack will be available to purchase for the PC and consoles starting June 5th. The upcoming expansion to The Sims 4 will introduce a new location called Evergreen Harbor, where players are expected to make important decisions that will benefit both the environment and the community. Additionally, the expansion pack will also allow players to find alternative resources, organize community activities, and live a greener lifestyle via upcycling trash to their carbon footprint.

The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion will serve as the ninth major expansion pack for the game, and players can now pre-order it for $39.99. Ever since the introduction of The Sims franchise twenty years ago, the series went down in video game history as one of the most important games of all time, and as of 2019, it has been reported that the franchise has made over $5 billion in revenue.

The Sims 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with the Eco Lifestyle Expansion pack releasing on June 5, 2020.
