The Sims 4 has been out for about 9 years now. Since it's launch in 2014, an avid community of Simmers have devoted countless hours and all their energy into exploring all the wonderful and wacky things the game has to offer.

Since The Sims, aspirations have been a core part of the gaming experience, and that's no different in The Sims 4. With all the packs, there are so many aspirations for players to choose from. Despite that, many of them still gravitate towards the same ones over and over. Here are the best aspirations The Sims 4 has to offer to encourage Simmers to step out of their comfort zone and try something new.

13 Master Maker

Despite this aspiration getting last place, it's still fun enough to make it. This aspiration comes with Eco Lifestyle and is a great choice for players looking to explore the crafting features of the pack.

This expansion came with loads of options for the craftier Sims and Simmers. With the ability to make candles and furniture, as well as sustainably source the necessary materials, Eco Lifestyle has a lot to offer and can bring players out of their usual playstyles.

12 Country Caretaker

This aspiration comes with Cottage Living and is perfect for the farmer Sim who wants to devote their life to their plants and animals. Managing a farm is no easy feat but having this aspiration will make things a little easier.

With this aspiration requiring players to build their relationship with the farm animals, harvest crops and even enter the competitions in Henford-On-Bagley, this seemingly simply aspiration will drag the average Simmer out of their comfort zone and force them to touch some virtual grass.

11 Archeology Scholar

The Jungle Adventure pack was recently part of a promotion with EA and Epic Games, giving players around the world access to this pack (for free) for the first time. This aspiration is a great choice for players wanting to explore the world of Selvadorada but don't know where to start.

This aspiration will take players through the archeological wonders waiting to be explored and may even leave them with more questions than answers. Selvadorada is a beautiful world waiting for an adventurous Sim to come along and uncover its secrets, and this aspiration will be a wonderful guide.

10 Master Chef

Compared to other skill-based aspirations, this aspiration offers a little more variety and is actually a pretty fun (and easy) one to try and complete. While gaining the cooking skill is pretty easy to do passively, because Sims need to eat, this aspiration also requires Sims to actually be in the culinary career.

Besides building the Cooking skill and progressing in the career, Simmers will also need to have some successful party events. This puts a nice twist on the usual format of the skill-based aspirations and challenges players without it being too challenging. Because players only need to get a silver medal at the dinner party, it allows for some leeway for Sims being dumb as they are one to do.

9 Painter Extraordinaire

For the Simmer looking to get rich quick, investing in an easel is the way forward. While this aspiration is a pretty standard one in terms of skill building aspirations, it's centered on one of the most lucrative hobbies in The Sims 4.

Choosing this aspiration also makes painting just a bit easier and ensures Sims are more likely to craft high-quality pieces of art. This is a great choice for beginners to The Sims 4 or for the Simmer who just wants to make bank.

8 The Curator

This aspiration is a great choice for Simmers engaging in a rags-to-riches challenge. So much of money-making in rags-to-riches is about running around the neighborhood and collecting as many things as possible.

This not only incentivizes players to forage for collectibles but choosing this aspiration actually makes them more adept at finding high-quality items, which can usually sell for more. Aspiration points can be used to make a rags-to-riches a whole lot easier, so this aspiration is a great choice for any Simmer engaging in this challenge.

7 Good Vampire

While its pretty standard for most supernatural packs to come with aspirations, this one stands out from the other vampiric offerings. While it still invites players to experiment with the pack, it also poses a significant challenge.

Although it's much easier to default to Strauss's less than ideal ways of fulfilling thirst, the Good Vampire aspiration invites Simmers to try something a little different and maybe have a heart (for once). This aspiration may be a good choice for players who have already experimented with vampires and want to have a new experience with the same pack.

6 Strangerville Mystery

While the Strangerville pack can be pretty polarizing at the best of times, the actual gameplay of uncovering a small town's big secret is pretty fun. For players looking to dive into everything Strangerville has to offer, possessions and all, this is the way forward.

This aspiration will guide players through everything they need in order to be prepared to face the Mother Plant. Having a Sim follow this mystery with this aspiration makes for an intriguing story and players will be rewarded for their time and dedication.

5 Public Enemy

This dastardly aspiration puts a nice twist on the usual Simming experience and invites players to be absolute menaces to their neighbors. Sims with this aspiration are just the worst, but they don't care, they like it that way.

This aspiration is bound to pull some Simmers out of their comfort zone and challenge them to play the game in a way they don't usually play it. For an extra challenging experience, players can choose to give their Sim redeeming qualities like making them a good parent, or they can just choose to be bad through and through.

4 Big Happy Family

This aspiration is for the long game. While there are some aspirations out there that can be completed in one life stage, this one will require some patience, but it's worth it in the end. For the family-oriented Sim and Simmer, this aspiration is a great choice to really explore everything family life has to offer.

With the recent Growing Together expansion, Sims with this aspiration will have even more nuanced family dynamics. This aspiration is perfect for Simmers starting a legacy challenge.

3 Villainous Valentine

This aspiration embodies so much of what Simmers love about The Sims franchise: chaos and romance. This dastardly aspiration invites Sims to be homewreckers and absolutely destroy the love lives of their neighbors, but most importantly, themselves.

This will definitely be a challenge for the average Simmer, but it's a challenge that comes with so much drama and plenty of story opportunities. Simmers will definitely have fun with this one, especially the players who can't get enough of manufacturing drama in all their saves.

2 Beach Life

Sims are in the water swimming, snorkeling, and floating with a mermaid.

Putting a fresh twist on aspirations in general, this addition from the Island Living pack is easily one of the easiest to have Sims accomplish. This aspiration is all about laying back and enjoying island life, making it a super easy way to farm some satisfaction points.

Giving this to Elder Sims who have recently retired, or Lazy Sims, will make for some great storytelling as players just let their Sims chill for a while instead of running around trying to build skills or advance in a career. This is certainly a different way of doing aspirations, but it perfectly fits the beach-going vibe.

1 Renaissance Sim

This aspiration gets first place for being super unique and versatile compared to some of the other choices. While plenty of these aspirations could be given to a variety of different Sims, it will pretty much always be the same experience.

Each time playing with a Renaissance Sim is something new and different. Players get to explore new skills and develop a Sim with character that's truly unique to them. This aspiration is perfect for all players, old and new, who want to explore everything the game has to offer.

What aspirations a player goes for will completely depend on their playstyle. It's always fun to experiment and play around with new stuff, so Simmers can do just that with some of these fun aspirations.

The Sims 4 is available for free on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
