In The Sims 4, players can have their Sims join afterschool activities. These activities range from sports to drama to scouting and building on different skills. They can be joined through the same method a Sim uses to get a job via their phone. Alternatively, they can hang around after school by the lockers and interact with the people in charge of the activities to find out more about them and join. Players will need to choose wisely, as some of these activities are very demanding with their time and requirements.

These part-time activities are considered a career track that involves no compensation. Similar to a job, they involve multiple levels of promotion with rewards. While each offers benefits, some offer more than others, including developing multiple skills. Several also offer the benefit of setting the Sim up for success when getting ready to establish their career later in life. Players should consider these options when choosing an afterschool activity in The Sims 4 first.
