The Quarry is an interactive horror, adventure, and teen survival game. Players have the power to control nine protagonists and choose who lives and who doesn’t. Additionally, it’s also possible to make characters work together or fight each other.
In The Quarry, following a specific set of choices allows people to witness two characters killing each other at the same time. Not only that but also a third party will meet their end brutally at the hands of a monster.
How To Make Travis And Laura Kill Each Other And Get The Mutually Assured Achievement In The Quarry
Chapter nine is a very important chapter, where more information about Silas, the White Wolf, is discovered and players also get the chance to meet the Hacketts. Depending on their actions, the members of the family either die or stay alive.
In the last scene of chapter nine, from Ryan’s point of view, werewolf Chris Hackett is attacking his brother, Bobby, while Laura transforms and fights with Travis. The latter gets pushed by the monster into a silver mirror and manages to hold one of its broken pieces.
In the meantime, Ryan will come out from under the table and grab the discarded weapon. The moment Chris is done with Bobby, Ryan is his next target.
To get the Mutually Assured Achievement, DON’T SHOOT Chris when given the choice. This causes the monster to jam the weapon in Ryan’s skull, killing him.
Because Chris Hackett was not killed, Laura remains infected and will keep attacking Travis, forcing the police officer to use the silver shard as a weapon. While in pain, werewolf Laura strikes Travis one last time, decapitating his head thus instantly killing him. After that, players will get the Mutually Assured Achievement.
How To Make Laura And Travis Kill Each Other Separately
In chapter nine, players have the choice to ACCEPT or DECLINE Laura’s bite to save Ryan’s life. Refusing is a key step in creating a situation where Laura and Travis kill each other separately.
Later on, in the same chapter, Laura transforms and lunges at Travis while Ryan finds a weapon that shoots silver bullets. When the moment arises, SHOOT Chris Hackett to cure Laura. If she shot Travis in chapter seven, the Sheriff will stab her to death, but if not, Laura is spared.
On the other hand, because Ryan declined the bite, he will die of blood loss and drop the shotgun. Completing the QTE allows Laura to reach it first and aim it at Travis.
Here, she can shoot Travis and kill him. If the QTE is not successful, Travis will grab it first and then imprison Laura inside a cell.
