The Quarry is considered the spiritual successor to the famous interactive horror game, Until Dawn. Both games have almost the same mechanic, especially when it comes to achievements. As there’s one achievement by making all the protagonists survive, there is also another one achieved once all the characters are dead.
In The Quarry, characters can be killed by either failing the QTEs or by picking the wrong choice that’ll sometimes lead to the death of more than one character. The following article will guide players on the choices that achieve the worst ending in The Quarry.
How To Kill Everyone And Get The Worst Ending In The Quarry
Every choice is crucial, no matter how small it is. Even if it didn't do much of an impact on the current chapter, it will definitely turn the situation around in another one.
Chapter 4: How To Kill Jacob And Emma
If players choose to take the rotor arm, then when Jacob is swimming with Emma and Abigail screams, Jacob can either DIVE IN or HELP ABI. He can be killed in both choices. If Jacob dives in to retrieve the rotor arm, and PULL twice in a row, he'll drown.
On the other hand, if people choose to Help Abigail and are playing as Ryan in the bonfire, choose the following choices: Shoot Gun, INSISTENT dialogue option, and Shoot Gun.
Here, Ryan will unknowingly kill Jacob.
Now it's Emma's turn. After getting out of the lake and exploring the camp a bit to find some Collectibles, she'll eventually end up at the treehouse.
Here there are two choices; OPEN TRAPDOOR or SEARCH BAG. If players wish to kill her, then choose the former and watch her get mutilated.
Chapter 6: How To Kill Abigail
While the group is in the Pool House after discovering Kaylee Hackett’s corpse in the pool, players are in charge of Abigail's movements and her job is to comfort Nick as he's not feeling well.
After finding all the available Collectibles inside the Pool House in The Quarry, Abi will have a small conversation with Nick where he throws her at the wall, which is where Abigail will find a weapon on the ground. She can either shoot Nick or do nothing. Not doing anything will result in Nick transforming and attacking Abi, thus brutally decapitating her head.
Chapter 7: Preparations For Killing Laura And Ryan
Chapter seven is one of the most crucial chapters in The Quarry. Here, players will get to see what happened to Laura and Max after the latter was attacked. The key to killing Laura and Ryan is by stealing Travis’s gun and shooting him when Laura is pretending to be sick.
Chapter 8: How To Kill Nick
After Nick’s transformation in the pool house, he gets captured by the hunters and thrown into an electrocuted cage. In chapter eight while playing as Ryan, he will enter a red room where the cages are.
Laura will point her weapon at the caged werewolf, not knowing that it’s Nick, and try to shoot it. If players pick to not STOP LAURA, she’ll kill Nick with silver bullets, thinking it was Chris Hackett.
Chapter 9: How To Kill Dylan, Laura, Ryan, And The Hacketts
After the Hacketts surround Laura and capture Ryan, once the old woman charge at Laura, successfully completing the QTEs will blow the woman’s head off. Sadly, Ryan gets stabbed by Bobby, but it’s crucial to not PULL THE KNIFE as it will help later.
First, people will control Laura and help her escape, then the perspective will change to Ryan as Bobby is chasing him.
When the chance arises, STAB Bobby using the knife implanted in Ryan and then ACCEPT Laura’s offer to turn into a werewolf and heal all his wounds.
Finally, after Laura transforms and attacks Travis, Ryan witnesses werewolf Chris killing Bobby and his father, Jedediah Hackett. Here, he has the chance to kill Chris and cure Laura.
When the blonde returns to being human, Travis will stab her to death as revenge for shooting him in the prison cell in chapter seven. To kill Ryan, choose the AGGRESSIVE dialogue, then fail QTEs, and he’ll get shot in the face by Sheriff Hackett.
Finally, while controlling Dylan in the Scrapyard, he will find Max’s car attached to a crane. After maneuvering the crane and bringing the car down for Kaitlyn to search, a werewolf appears and attacks it. To successfully kill Dylan, pick the following choices: WARN KAITLYN, SOUND HORN, and finally fail the QTEs when the monster lunges for Dylan.
Chapter 10: How To Kill Max And Kaitlyn
Upon killing Chris Hackett, Max’s curse is lifted. Players will get the chance to control this character and are given two choices; STAY and SWIM TO SHORE. Picking the latter results in Max’s death, as he’ll get ambushed by a hungry werewolf once he arrives.
The last character is Kaitlyn. Once inside the lodge and people choose to PREPARE FOR ATTACK, a werewolf will come out of the chimney and charge at her. Choosing to WAIT and then not shooting it, result in the monster feasting on Kaitlyn.
