The Legend of Tianding is a game that is set in the action and platforming genre, and focuses around the legendary Tawianese folk hero known as Lian Tianding. Players will have to sneak, cheat, and fight their way to victory in this game.

Something that players will notice is that there are many weapons in the game, but to acquire them they will have to steal them from other characters. However, some weapons are bound to be better than others, so it would be good to know this before a player makes an effort to start stealing weapons.

7 Rocks

Legend of Tianding - Wrap

Although rocks seem like an otherwise useless weapon that some players would consider the "joke weapon" of The Legend of Tianding, it is actually pretty good. It is worth it for a player to nick a few rocks on the way.

Rocks are a ranged attack that, with each hit, actually counts as three hits. While the humble rock may not seem like much, it is actually pretty good for dealing damage far away.

6 Axe

Legend of Tianding - Throwing

While the axe does fall off a bit later on in the game, it is still going to be almost essential for a player to try and steal the axe while they are early on in the game. The axe does not have a great range, but its damage is going to be good for a new player.

As such, newer players who find themselves in a bit of a rut should definitely try and steal an axe for themselves. It will be a great way to chop down enemies before a player can get better weapons.

5 Riot Shield

Legend of Tianding - Boss

The Riot Shield was made to be more of a defensive weapon to steal (rather than being an offensive weapon), so that means players will not be doing a lot of damage with it. However, they will be able to fend off against a bunch of attacks from enemies with it.

The Riot Shield, once stolen, acts as - of course - a shield for a player. If they want to attack with it, they'll have to swing it forward to hit someone; the Riot Shield really shines against enemies with guns, as it greatly protects a player from bullets.

4 Molotov Cocktail

Legend of Tianding - Wrecking Ball

For a player who just wants to cause pure chaos in their game play, the Molotov Cocktail is a great choice of weapon. It is not very hard to see why, either - any player would want a weapon they can toss forward to cause a huge explosion.

The Molotov Cocktail does have a few downsides, of course - namely, a player will not be able to accurately aim the cocktail, and thus cannot make a perfect shot. However, the explosion will still cover a bunch of enemies in flames.

3 Hand Gun

Legend of Tianding - Running

If a player just wants to use a simple and easy weapon for wasting enemies where they stand, then the hand gun is going to be their best bet. Although it is a relatively simple weapon, that does not mean that it is a bad weapon by any means - in fact, it is one of the best weapons a player can steal.

The Hand Gun does exactly what a player would expect - it fires a shot at the enemy, dealing great damage and possibly even killing them in a few shots. The Hand Gun has been agreed upon by players to be a great choice, due to its long range and damage.

2 Shot Gun

Legend of Tianding - Dashing

The Shotgun, although it plays a little bit differently from the rest of the weapons that a player will be able to pick up, is still very strong and definitely something a player wants to aim for. The Shotgun has a longer reload time than most other games in the game, but trades off with immense power.

Most Shotguns that a player will be able to steal and pick up will usually be able to fire two shots before needing a reload. Each hit that lands against an enemy will knock them back a decent amount on top of dealing damage, making it really good at keeping distance from the enemy.

1 Rocket Launcher

Legend of Tianding - Dialogue

Unsurprisingly, the Rocket Launcher is the weapon that players will want to focus the most attention on when it comes to stealing it from the enemy. It is insanely powerful, quick to take down enemies, and just plain fun as well.

Essentially, the Rocket Launcher does exactly what it says on the tin - it launches rockets at the enemies that a player fires at. There are very few enemies that can survive a hit from the Rocket Launcher, but that is not a problem - even if they survive, they will be at very low health, along with each rocket being able to burst down multiple enemies in one hit.

The Legend of Tianding is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S.
