That’s not all, as the studio confirmed that a new The Flash trailer is about to drop during the upcoming Super Bowl weekend. So far, speculation has been going around about The Flash and how it adapts the plot of the 2011 DC event series Flashpoint. While the new poster doesn’t confirm the connection, it cleverly brings The Flash and Batman's worlds together. It is already known that Keaton and Ben Affleck will reprise their roles as Batman, but it’ll be interesting to see how their worlds collide.RELATED: James Gunn Confirms Ezra Miller's The Flash Will Be A Soft Reboot For DCUWarner Bros. shared The Flash poster on social media and wrote, “Check out the teaser poster for The Flash and tune in during the big game for the official trailer.” This news has DC fans feeling excited, as they have waited a long time for this film to come to fruition. The poster reveals the protagonist's improved costume and builds hype for Batman's return. The last time that fans saw Keaton put on the Batman cape was in Tim Burton's Batman Returns in 1992, whereas Affleck last played the Caped Crusader in 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League. Since it was confirmed that the two actors would be a part of The Flash, fans have been waiting to see them come face-to-face, and with the new poster, it seems like they are a step closer to seeing the most epic alliance.

The Flash has faced some bumps along the road, with several delays, rewrites in the plot, and controversies surrounding lead star Miller. This is Miller's first standalone project as the popular character, with him previously being a part of Justice League. While his previous portrayal of the Scarlet Speedster was appreciated, it has been a few years since fans last saw him play the role. It remains to be seen whether he will receive the same kind of positive feedback this time or if Miller's performance will be overshadowed by his controversial behavior in the recent past.

In addition to Keaton and Affleck, the film stars Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the DC Universe, The Flash was meant to launch Supergirl into the DC Extended Universe, potentially leading to a solo film in the future. However, those plans have changed since the new DC Studios CEOs took over, and Calle's future as Supergirl is uncertain in the new and improved DCU. While Gunn has confirmed a Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie as part of the new DCU slate, it remains unclear whether Calle will be a part of it.

The Flash is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 16, 2023.
