Even before the release of The First Descendant, Bunny was already considered by the community as the game's sweetheart. She's as cheerful as she is deadly, boasting a fast-paced and electrifying playstyle that's perfect for gamers who love running circles around their enemies.

Despite not being a part of the three starter characters in The First Descendant, Bunny can be obtained pretty early on, and she is very beginner friendly. If you want to use her as your main throughout the main quest, you'll need to get a better understanding of how she plays and how best to build her up. Here's a starter guide covering how to best use Bunny as well as some pointers and the best gear and stats players should focus on getting for her.

How To Play Bunny In The First Descendant

Bunny shooting at Vulgus in The First Descendant

Bunny is all about movement. As she runs around the battlefield, she fills up her Electricity meter, which is the main resource she uses to discharge her first, third, and fourth abilities. Bunny is the complete opposite of characters like Ajax in The First Descendant. Instead of staying still and locking down points, she should always be moving around.

Bunny's bread-and-butter ability is her third ability, Lightning Emission. This skill causes electricity to pulse out of her, dealing significant damage to enemies, and it pulses faster if Speed of LIght is active. However, this skill's range is fairly short, which means you'll have to be quite close to enemies in order to be effective.

Make sure to always charge up your Electricity bar and use Speed of Light as often as possible. Once Bunny is fully charged, unleash her abilities to get rid of any enemies in your way.

Best Bunny Modules

Modules for Bunny in The First Descendant

Early on, you won't have that many Descendant mods to choose from. However, as a general rule of thumb, you should use modules that improve the following stats:

  • Skill Power
  • Electric Skill Power
  • Skill Range
  • Skill Duration
  • Mana
  • HP
  • DEF
  • Shields

Bunny is somewhat of a glass cannon. She stays alive by moving fast and killing enemies faster. As such, players will want to improve the effectiveness of Lightning Emission by improving her Skill Power, Range, and Duration stats. Extra Mana will also keep Speed of Light active for longer, allowing you to trigger Lightning Emission's novas more often while evading incoming attacks.

Paint is used to put a little color in your character's custom drip in The First Descendant. Here's how you can get some for yourself.

Reactor And External Components

A Reactor for Bunny in The First Descendant

Ideally, Bunny should be using a Tingling Singularity Reactor. This will give her an additional multiplier to both Speed of Light and Lightning Emission. If you want to instead focus on Bunny's first and fourth abilities, use a Tingling Mixture Reactor instead for its bonus to Fusion skills.

All characters in The First Descendant have tags on their skills. You can find what they are by visiting the Descendant tab in the game menu.

As for External Components, they're mainly for getting defensive and utility-focused stats. You can use whatever combination of components you want, but we highly recommend investing in Max HP and DEF. Health is a lot quicker to replenish than shields, and DEF improves your overall damage resistance. Once you reach the late game, keep an eye out for External Component sets that boost your offensive stats.

Best Weapons For Bunny

The Thundercage SMG in The First Descendant

Since Bunny benefits a lot from speed, her best weapons are SMGs and pistols. These weapon types let you move at almost full speed even while aiming down, which means you'll still be able to get accurate shots down range while dancing between enemies.

The effective range of SMGs and pistols is very short, however. If you're fighting against Colossi, it may be better to use longer-ranged weaponry like Tactical Rifles or Scout Rifles. Be mindful of your ammo, though, as Special and Impact Rounds are harder to come by compared to General Rounds.
