The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is a reverse isekai fantasy series about the Demon Lord Satan Jacob ending up in the human world, where he is forced to take a part-time job. The series is largely comedic, with the formerly omnipotent Demon Lord being forced to make ends meet at a local fast food joint.
While the series certainly has elements of slice-of-life comedy, The Devil Is a Part-Timer! does occasionally have moments of tension, where the Demon Lord and his associates must fight for their survival. While their powers in the human world are restricted, they are occasionally able to utilize their strengths. Here are the strongest characters in this hilarious fantasy anime.
8 Chiho Sasaki
Of the many characters that are prominent in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Chiho Sasaki is the most mundane, being a normal human with no real connection to the world of Ente Isla. Because of that, she does not tend to be involved in the more climactic battles, oftentimes being put in danger herself.
Despite this, Chiho does have her own strengths. She archery club at school, making her a skilled archer, and while her abilities have yet to be used in a real fight, she has shown her determination by standing by Sadao's side no matter what happens.
7 Olba Meyer
As the archbishop of the Church of Ente Isla, Olba Meyer had trained Emilia Justina in order to have her defeat the Demon Lord. However, in truth, he was a corrupt bishop who wanted to kill any enemies of the Church. Despite being Emilia's ally, he conspired with Lucifer to have her killed, then later tried to kill Satan by helping Sariel.
As the archbishop, Olba Meyer has great magical powers, including flight and gate creation. While he plays more of a supporting role, he still has considerable magical powers and should not be underestimated.
6 Suzuno Kamazuki/Crestia Bell
Formerly an executioner of the Church of Ente Isla, Suzuno befriended the stranded devils and Emi, becoming their ally instead. Suzuno learned about Japan from very old archives, leading her to have a very poor understanding of modern Japan, often wearing traditional kimonos instead of more western clothes.
Suzuno's main power is her enhanced strength, which allows her to lift heavy loads as if they weighed nothing at all. She uses this to wield her massive hammer, which is her main form of offense. She also has various magical abilities like sleep magic and memory manipulation magic.
5 Shiro Ashiya/Alciel
As one of Satan's most loyal Generals, Alciel was teleported to Earth with him. While Satan works at a part-time job as Sadao, Ashiya stays at home and takes care of the housework while researching different ways for the two of them to regain their powers.
Like Satan and Lucifer, Alciel's powers are limited while on Earth. However, if he is able to regain magic power, Alciel can display incredible powers like firing magical projectiles and throwing heavy objects with teleportation. His most defining trait is his incredibly hard skin, which can't be pierced or cut by even the strongest weapons.
4 Hanzo Urushihara/Lucifer
Although he was another General under Satan, Lucifer was not as loyal as Alciel was. As a fallen angel, he teamed up with Olba so that he could return to heaven, but his plan failed. He was forgiven by Satan and moved in with him, though he often does little to contribute to their finances.
Lucifer may be an unemployed NEET, but he does have considerable power. He can fire energy projectiles, and his black feathers can cause explosions when touched. Lucifer has incredible magical power and is able to resist even a full-power attack from Satan.
3 Mitsuki Sarue/Sariel
Sariel is an archangel, tasked with retrieving Emilia's sacred sword. He does so under the guise of Mitsuki Sarue, who owns a fast food restaurant that competes with Sadao and Chiho's workplace MgRonald's. Sariel is a narcissistic character, due to his status as a high-ranking angel.
As an archangel, Sariel has many powers, some of which are still unknown. One power that he has that is unique to him is his ability to nullify Sacred Power, demonstrated when he nullified Emi's Sacred Sword. His weapon of choice is a scythe, and he wields it expertly in battle.
2 Emi Yusa/Emilia Justina
Emilia Justina is the Hero of Ente Isla, having defeated the Demon Lord in battle. She chased him to Earth, but lost her powers and was forced to take up a false identity and work at a call center. As she does, she begins to realize that he's not all that bad.
As the Hero, Emilia Justina has various magical powers, many of them holy. In addition, her Sacred Sword Better Half is an incredible weapon, thanks to her incredible sword skills. Although her body is not as strong as it was back in Ente Isla, she can still heal injuries by using up her magical power.
1 Sadao Maou/Satan Jacob
The defeated Demon Lord Satan Jacob tried to take over Ente Isla, only to be defeated and chased out by the Hero Emilia Justina. He escaped to Earth, only to lose most of his powers. Forced to live as a normal human, the Demon Lord took on the name Sadao Maou and became a part-time worker at MgRonald's.
As the Demon Lord, Satan has incredible powers that come at the cost of a great amount of energy. He can control minds, use telekinesis and teleportation, create demonic swords, and regenerate his body from wounds. He can also transform into his more powerful demon form, which he can only use when he has magic power.
