The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me is a game built around difficult choices. It follows a group of five protagonists as they try to survive being hunted by a slasher-style serial killer. The fate of its characters is largely determined by the choices that the player makes along the way.

Players can earn a number of achievements or trophies throughout the Devil in Me, including the Handy trophy. Players can unlock this by finding all the inventory items in-game. There are fourteen items to track down. These are often mutually exclusive; that is, players can take either one item or another in a scene, but not both. As such, it will take several playthroughs to unlock the Handy trophy. What's more, the process for getting this achievement differs between the Theatrical Cut and the Curator's Cut.

Theatrical Cut: Rose Milk/Face Powder

Players can find Rose Milk and Face Powder in the Theatrical Cut’s prologue scene. Marie will approach the pharmacy counter after Holmes has left her and Jeff alone. She'll be prompted to take either the Rose Milk or the Face Powder. It's impossible to pick up both items, but players can run through the scene again to collect the other item.

Curator’s Cut: Pocket Watch/Necklace

The Curator’s Cut of the Devil in Me has a slightly different prologue than the Theatrical Cut. One of the differences is the items players can find. In the Curator’s Cut of the scene, the character Jeff can buy a Pocket Watch or a Necklace. Players will still be unable to pick up both items, so they’ll have to play through the prologue again.

Party (Curator’s Cut): Lounge Key

The Devil in Me - Hallway

Separated from her team, Jamie explores the hallways that she’s been trapped in. She finds a door to the lounge, but it’s locked. Players will need the key. Luckily, they won’t have to go far. Keep going until Jamie has found the staff room, then open the closet door. A mannequin will fall out and onto her. After she's recovered, have Jamie look in the closet. The Lounge Key will be inside.

The Party chapter is only found in the Curator’s Cut of The Devil in Me.

Workshop: Camera Lens & Drill Bit

Workshop starts off with Mark falling through a vent. But instead of falling to his doom, he’s saved when his camera’s strap catches on the vent. Mark dangles for a moment before falling the rest of the way. He drops his camera in the process. Players can complete a QTE to try and catch it. Be sure to pass this, because the camera is needed to collect certain inventory items later on.

Once he’s landed, Mark finds himself in a room full of jail cells. Investigate and move on. The next room is packed with shelves. One shelf will have a Camera Lens on top. Mark can grab this as long as he still has his camera. He can also find a Drill Bit on a table nearby.

Jamie will smash the glass with the screwdriver and the two should both survive.
