The Dark Pictures Anthology from Supermassive Games has built a cult following of horror fans across the world. Three games have been released so far, including Man of Medan, Little Hope, and House of Ashes, with a fourth recently announced for release in 2022. The next game, The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me, will lock players in a haunted hotel and wrap up the current anthology. To celebrate the occasion and offer The Dark Picture fans a special opportunity, Bandai Namco has confirmed a unique collector's edition for The Devil in Me.

Bandai Namco is calling it the Animatronic Collector's Edition, a special package just for The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me. It's an $89.99 bundle featuring not only the full The Devil in Me game but also some great merchandise. The most important item is an 11cm animatronic bust of a horrific robotic figure. The bust itself doesn't appear to be animatronic, but rather is a resin figure of an animatronic assumedly found within The Devil in Me.

Additional merchandise found within The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me's Animatronic Collector's Edition starts with the packaging itself, a box with a unique design that will fit all of the bundle's content. After that, there's an exclusive map of the hotel from The Devil in Me, a postcard featuring an outside look of the World's Fair Hotel along with an envelope to hold it, as well as a special business card for Lonnit Entertainment, the documentary company that gets trapped in the horror hotel.

Lastly, those pre-ordering the collector's edition will also get a pre-order bonus. It's called the Curator's Cut Early Access, a voucher code that will unlock "previously unavailable scenes with different playable characters, new choices, different outcomes." Exactly what this means may be further elaborated on by Supermassive at some point in the future.

Collector's Editions aren't rare for The Dark Pictures franchise, of course. House of Ashes had a Pazuzu Edition featuring an Underworld Creature figurine. Little Hope had a Collector's Edition featuring a 15cm figure for Mary's Ragdoll. Man of Medan may have been the only game in the series without one, but its success likely proved the need for future games to deliver.

It should be clear that 11cm is not very large, so fans of The Dark Picture Anthology shouldn't expect a massive statue. But for those willing to spend $50 over the $39.99 retail price for The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me will get a fun collectible item in return. For fans of the horror franchise, it may be exactly what they want.

The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me releases autumn 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
