Highlights

  • The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is a stylish and fast water vehicle in The Crew: Motorfest, but its high price and steering difficulties place it at the bottom of the list.
  • The ICE Marine Bladerunner 35 may have a slower top speed, but its excellent handling makes it a great choice for races with sharp turns.
  • The Vector V40R strikes a good balance between speed and control, making it a solid choice for boat racing events in rough waters. Plus, it's relatively cheap compared to other options on the list.

The Crew: Motorfest, while very much a driving game at heart, also offers a range of other vehicular activities for players to participate in. This includes a range of air and sea races that players can challenge, with an assortment of different planes and boats for players to pilot in such events. Players hoping to expand their vehicle collection with some new water vehicles should look no further.

When taking on boat racing events in The Crew: Motorfest it's important to choose the right ride for the job, so this list will break down the best available water vehicles. It will discuss their speed, handling, and visual appearance to help players find the perfect ally for their aquatic adventures. This list takes into account the top speeds of the vehicles and also their handling, since quite a few water races in the game require weaving between rocks and navigating shallow waters, which can be a problem for some of the heftier boats.

6 Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63

Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63

Bottom of this list but still a stylish and fast vehicle, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is an expensive and hard-to-steer vehicle that requires a bit of finesse to control. It still performs well in the hands of someone willing to overlook the extra steering difficulty, due to its high speed, and has the added benefit of looking awesome. Unfortunately, its high price tag for a vehicle with comparable speed and performance to later entries on this list means it can't go any higher.

5 ICE Marine Bladerunner 35

The Crew Motorfest_ICE Marine Bladerunner 35

Slow but maneuverable, the ICE Marine Bladerunner 35 is a great vehicle for races with sharper turns that require greater precision. Despite a much lower top speed than some of the other options later in this list, the Bladerunner earns itself a lot of points for its excellent handling. It also earns a lot of points for style thanks to its shape and design. Its top speed is a rather big concern though, clocking in at 170km/h where most other entries on this list easily clear the 200 mark un-upgraded. Style can only take you so far on this list, unfortunately.

4 Vector V40R

The Crew Motorfest_Vector V40R

A solid choice for a mix of speed and handling, the Vector V40R steers well while also hitting top speeds of 220km/h. This offers a good balance between speed and control when taking on boat race events, especially in rougher waters where control is crucial to staying on course. It has a simple but effective design that lends itself well to customization via new paint jobs or custom liveries while also being a relatively cheap option compared to certain other entries on this list.

3 Proto Offshore Mk2

The Crew Motorfest_Proto Offshore MK2

An easy-to-obtain vehicle rewarded during the Hawaii Scenic Tour playlist, the Proto Offshore Mk2 is an excellent entry vehicle for boat racing. It handles well and has a decent top speed of 240km/h, making it an attractive option for players who don't want to invest in one of the other vehicles on this list but still want a quality water vehicle. Since this is a reward from the game's easiest playlist, all players can access this vehicle easily. While it lacks in looks by default, it doesn't take much effort to jazz it up with a new paint job or even a custom livery using the game's customization systems, especially since players get the vehicle itself for free.

2 Proto WR1

The Crew Motorfest_Proto WR1

Another excellent vehicle for oceanic racing is the Proto WR1, one of the vehicles from the Ocean 'n Sky bundle and the required vehicle to start that playlist. While a touch slower than the Proto Offshore Mk2 at 220km/h, its lightweight and excellent turning speed allow it to keep pace with ease. A solid choice for powerboat events with lots of turns like many of the powerboat events found in the Ocean 'n Sky playlist. It also handles very well in shallow water, which is very useful when exploring the island's coast for collectibles. On top of all this, it has a unique design compared to the other water vehicles available in the game which can lend itself well to custom liveries (Batboat anyone?)

1 DCB M31 Widebody

The Crew Motorfest_DCB M31 Widebody

Easily the fastest vehicle on this list, the Widebody is deceptively easy to steer even on sharp corners, making it one of the best choices for many races. While it still can't turn as sharply as some of the slower and more well-rounded vehicles on this list, it remains an excellent vehicle with decent handling and a tremendous top speed. Players looking for raw speed should look no further and even players more concerned with control over speed should take it for a test drive and see what they think. Its wider body, as the name implies, definitely contributes to its ease of steering while also providing a ton of open space for decals and custom liveries should players wish to customize it further.

The Crew: Motorfest is available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.
