Whether it's blood, guts, nudity, violence, or irreverence, The Boys doesn't let up and serves them all through a buffet. Each new season of the Amazon series just keeps upping the shock value. And just when viewers thought they were desensitized, out came the "Herogasm" episode. It's only going to get less wholesome from that point on.

That means it's high time to celebrate what little wholesome moments the show had before it all gets overshadowed by more of the show's profanity. Thankfully, The Boys has some heartwarming and uplifting moments that humanize its flawed and morally gray characters. Those who need their palate cleansed from Herogasm's filth and immorality will want to recall these moments.

7 Robin's relationship with Hughie (Season 1)

This was where it all began. Hughie had a pure and non-toxic relationship with his girlfriend, who keeps sticking up for him and supporting him despite everyone bullying him. Hughie and Robin's relationship was somewhat similar to its comic book source material, but the show added some small but important details.

They made it so that Robin not only was Hughie's former girlfriend; they also upgraded her personality a bit. She more or less acted as Hughie's spine or guardian at the very least. She was the one who kept telling Hughie to stand up for himself against his power-tripping bosses and other bullies. All that was sadly taken away by a junkie with superpowers.

6 Becca meeting The Boys (Season 2)

William Butcher was always painted as a lone wolf and someone with little to no conscience. Often, it was unfathomable to think how he managed to maintain a relationship with his wife, Rebecca given how he is. He's one of the show's biggest sociopaths, right next to Homelander and Soldier Boy.

So when the two of them snuck into Frenche's makeshift headquarters in Season 2 and had an interaction, it was like seeing a side of Butcher that remained dormant for eons. The whole gang was shocked and enraptured to see Butcher still capable of intimacy and love. Prior to that, they all treated Beccae like a VIP despite the rather nasty state of their headquarters.

5 Butcher adopting Ryan (Season 2)

Too bad Butcher and Becca's reunion didn't last long. It was cut short when Ryan accidentally killed Becca while they were escaping from Homelander and Stormfront. Butcher being the way he is, he was expected to lash out at the innocent superhero kid for contributing to his wife's death.

However, Butcher went above his hate and took Ryan in his arms after what appeared to be a battle with his inner self. After that, Butcher somewhat stood in for Ryan's parents as Becca was dead and Homelander wasn't exactly a good pillar. Granted, this interaction between them was cut short by Butcher after he cut ties with Ryan in Season 3, but it was for the best.

4 Hughie's dad calling him (Season 3)

The original Hughie from the comic books seems to be modeled after Simon Pegg both in personality and appearance. It's just that Hughie in the series fit the profile that the show was going for. Luckily, the series made Simon Pegg Hughie's dad and the two of them ended things on a bad note as Hughie left the nest.

But in the early episodes of Season 3, the two seem to have mended their relationship. Hughie's dad was even proud of him for his work and his status that he brags about his son now. It's one of the few brief moments in the series before Hughie finally loses the humanity he had left.

3 Supersonic helping Starlight (Season 3)

Plenty of things could have gone wrong with Supersonic's introduction. The series could have easily made him a fully-fledged wedge between Hughie and Starlight's relationship. The Boys did Supersonic right, however. They made him one of the genuinely nicest guys on the show, where he even agreed to help Starlight take down Homelander.

But it's this same kindness that led to his death after Homelander crushed his skull. Supersonic's death was one of the most heartwrenching moments in the series, as it's not often The Boys get a genuine ally with no ulterior motives. Alas, it's the show's way of foreshadowing and implying that nice guys don't last and don't get what they want.

2 Mother's Milk's pep talks

Now that Hughie is turning out more and more like Butcher and with Frenchie and Kimiko missing in action, Mother's Milk and Starlight are the only remaining members of The Boys who haven't given up on their morals. As it happens, Mother's Milk is the best motivator the team could have. He truly cares about his friends and their psychological states.

MM's pep talk with Hughie back in that dead whale in Season 2 is up there in the most cherished scenes in the show. Meanwhile, his car talks with Starlight as well as his stories always manage to heave people up on their feet. Along with Starlight, MM was the conscience of The Boys, and so far, there's no scene involving him that's indecent or impure.

1 Kimiko's singing (Season 3)

Kimiko nearly died in order to lose her powers, but for her, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. She loathed what she was because she never really chose Compound V superpowers. For much of her tenure on The Boys, she was mostly being used as Butcher's loose cannon. So when she finally lost her powers thanks to Soldier Boy, it was as if she was reborn.

The decades of life and childhood forcibly taken away from her were no longer her shackles to carry. Of course, there was no better way for her to celebrate this than by singing. The Boys' imaginary mini-musical number involving Kikimo and Frenchie was the calm before the storm that is Soldier Boy and Herogasm. Here's hoping everyone enjoyed that moment because there's no turning back from that.
