The following contains spoilers for Episode 7 of Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc, "Turn The Tide," now streaming on Disney+.

Yokohama's seventh pier set the scene for the climactic final showdown of Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc, as episode 7 kicked off the fight between Toman and Tenjiku that has been building up over the course of Season 3. With the future of the Tokyo Manji Gang riding on the outcome of this battle, all eyes are on Takemichi to come good on his promises to crush Tenjiku and Kisaki. After losing his ability to time leap with the death of adult Naoto Tachibana, this could be Takemichi's only chance to save everyone and rewrite the tragedy of the future.

The episode finally showed off the strength of Tenjiku's upper-ranking officers, including the monstrous power of its leader, Izana Kurokawa. While his reputation preceded him, little was known about Izana's combat abilities until the deadly display of force he put on for both his allies and adversaries at the pier in this episode. As Takemichi puts everything on the line to achieve his goals, he will have to emerge victorious against one of the most powerful characters in the series so far, without the aid of Toman's strongest fighters. The tension is reaching a fever pitch in Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc, and it is anyone's guess as to who will emerge victorious by the break of dawn.

Izana's Grand Ambitions

Izana Kakucho Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc

Picking up from the post-credits scene in the previous episode, the frame is focused on Izana, standing resolute among the lights of the dockyard, before the vanquished faces of Tokyo's most prominent hoodlums. From Shinjuku's Speed Demons and Kichijoji's SS, to Ikebukuro's ICBM and Ueno's Night Dust, Tokyo's leading delinquents can only kneel in fear at the sight of a triumphant Izana, who awaits the arrival of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Yasuhiro Muto, the Haitani brothers, Shion Madarame, and Kanji Mochizuki are seated on piles of empty containers at the docks, bickering about their own fights against Toman's Division Captains. While Tenjiku's top ranking officers argue, Kakucho expresses a hunch that Mikey and his subordinates will not be showing up for the fight, which amuses Izana. As the others concur with Kakucho's estimation, Muto pledges his loyalty to Izana's dream, followed by Kakucho and the rest of Tenjiku's top brass, as the S-62 Generation reunites to realize their common cause.

Seizing this moment, Izana declares his intent to take on the criminal underworld of Japan with all of Tokyo's hoodlums in tow, ascending to the level of a national crime syndicate in the process. This announcement is met with further affirmations, until Kisaki's interjection cuts through the conversation. Perched atop a pile of containers, Kisaki notes that Takemichi will come no matter what, as the sound of approaching motorcycles confirms his suspicion.

A Dramatic Entrance

Takemichi Tokyo Manji Gang Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc

Stunned at how the Tokyo Manji Gang was able to rally its troops, Izana and his subordinates look on as Takemichi leads out the relatively smaller group of fighters from Toman. The two groups face off, as Izana inquires about how Toman expects to overcome Tenjiku's numerical advantage. He then proceeds to suggest a "vanguard fight" — a ritual among the S-62 Generation — where a one-on-one fight between two chosen competitors serves as a precursor to an all-out brawl.

Shion Madarame boldly asserts his desire to compete, stepping forward, as Takemichi decides to face him, in his role as Toman's acting leader. However, he is stopped by Ryohei Hayashi — better known as Peh-yan — who pushes Takemichi behind him, noting that the acting leader must protect himself. While squaring off, Shion begins boasting, only to be firmly punched in the face by Peh-yan. Having knocked his opponent out, Peh-yan asks Takemichi to give the signal to attack.

Recalling his hatred towards Kisaki for Emma's death, Takemichi's anger boils up, and he thanks Peh-yan, before raising a battle cry to commence the climax of the Kanto Incident. The fight begins in earnest, and Toman appears to be gaining the upper hand, with Peh-yan rampaging around the battlefield knocking out swarms of Tenjiku's troops. Others join in and urge Takemichi to retreat, to ensure that he does not leave himself too exposed as acting leader.

In the ensuing chaos, an impressed Izana notes that Toman has exceeded his expectations, while reprimanding the unconscious Shion Madarame for his weakness and stupidity. Meanwhile, Takemichi, Chifuyu, and the Mizo Middle Five rush through the main body of Tenjiku's fighters towards Izana and Kisaki. Seeing the Tokyo Manji Gang advance, Izana barges through his subordinates to confront Peh-yan himself. The latter charges towards him, only to be firmly knocked down by Izana with a powerful kick to head, taking him out of the battle. Seeing one of their strongest fighters fall, Toman's troops are left stunned, bringing their momentum to a resounding halt.

Time To Settle Old Scores

Muto Inui Takemichi Kakucho Tokyo Revengers Tenjiku Arc

After a brief flashback to a moment where Izana was ruthlessly beating up an opponent in a detention center, the scene returned to Tenjiku's leader addressing the members of the S-62 Generation in the present, imploring them to prove their worth to him. Mochizuki goes ahead to challenge Takemichi, found backup in by the Mizo Middle Five. Just as they were about to clash, Chifuyu darts towards Mochizuki and kicks him to the ground, issuing a challenge in the process.

Elsewhere, Hakkai Shiba and Souya Kawata engage in fights of their own, as the Haitani brothers move in on their positions, taunting them as they approach. Takemichi and Seishi run into match ups of their own, with the former taking on his old friend Kakucho, and the latter challenging Yaushiro Muto. Inui once again asked Muto to release Kokonoi, only for the latter to approach from behind and launch a surprise attack, to Inui's shock.

Simultaneously, Kakuchi warned Takemichi, stating that he would not go easy on him this time. Disturbed at the prospect of having to fight his childhood friend, Takemichi asked Kakucho if he was aware of Kisaki's plan to kill Emma. Showing visible discomfort, Kakucho confirmed Takemichi's suspicions, as the First DIvision Captain of the Tokyo Manji continued to ask him if this fight was what he really wanted. The inner conflict within Kakucho began to stir up, but he hardened his heart and noted that none of it mattered anymore, since he was on Izana's side, and Kokonoi had willingly chosen to join Tenjiku.

Finally, the focus returns to Kokonoi and Inui, as the latter begs him to reconsider his choice to join Tenjiku. In response, Kokonoi responds stating that Inui should give up his delusion and join Tenjiku, as there would be an open post waiting for him if he changes his mind. Rejecting his offer, Inui retorts that he had no intention of allying with Tenjiku, as he had already entrusted his life to Takemichi. Angered, Kokonoi grabs Inui by the throat and hoists him up, chiding him for his obsession with reviving Black Dragon. Struggling against Kokonoi's grip, Inui yells that they were both at fault for the gang's failure, and that he was not his sister Akane, which brings the episode to a close.

The fate of the Tokyo Manji Gang is perched on a knife's edge, with equal chances of victory and defeat. Without their talismanic leaders Mikey and Draken, the gang, led by Takemichi, must find a way to even the odds to take down Tenjiku and Kisaki, in order to prevent the future from taking a dark turn. It appears as if the next episode of Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc will shed some light on Inui and Kokonoi's past, to explain the latter's reason for rejecting Toman. With the final battle now underway, there are only six episodes left in this season of Tokyo Revengers, as the Kanto Incident approaches its peak.
