Zoë Kravitz getting cast as Selina Kyle in The Batman might have surprised some people, but those who saw the 2017 animated movie know it must have been destiny. After all, Kravitz voiced none other than Catwoman in this movie.
The story primarily focuses on Will Arnett's Batman, who's going through a personal crisis of sorts. Though he's the center of the film, all the supporting actors, including Kravitz, deliver fun performances as well. Even though Catwoman doesn't have too much space in the movie, it could have served Kravitz's audition of sorts for The Batman — except the tones of the two movies are diametrically different.

The Harry Potter series is one of the most popular of all time, especially within the past generation. So it comes as no surprise that the sequel series Fantastic Beasts, which takes place seventy years earlier in the same world, was heavily anticipated by fans. Kravitz plays Angel Salvadore, one of the young mutants who join James McAvoy's Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbender's Magneto after they find her and recruit her. Zoë Kravitz doesn't disappoint, even alongside big names such as Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. The character she portrays is very different from Kravitz's other work, making it the ideal opportunity to show her acting range yet again.

The Batman is one of the biggest movies of Zoë Kravitz's career, but it's not the first time Kravitz has played a part in a less traditional superhero movie. All Marvel fans will no doubt recall her presence in the Oscar-winning animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is due to get a sequel soon.
Zoë Kravitz voiced Mary Jane in the movie, and proved once again that animated superhero work fits her just as well as live-action. So even though it's unclear whether Kravitz will show up in the sequel, it's always possible to return to the movie and enjoy her performance once again.

Following in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer and Anne Hathaway, Zoë Kravitz takes on the part in the newest live-action Batman movie, and she does an excellent job.
Her Selina Kyle is intelligent, charismatic, dangerous, and has strong chemistry with Robert Pattinson's Batman. What's more, she plays a major part in the story, so every fan of Kravitz gets to see her a lot. While ratings for The Batman are still up in the air considering the movie's recent release, Kravitz's strong performance as Catwoman has already been cemented.
