The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten is a romantic comedy about a slow-burning relationship between two neighbors. The first is Amane, the story's main character, who lives next door to the most beautiful girl in school. Though he and Mahiru, the beautiful girl, don't often speak that all changes when he kindly loans her an umbrella on a rainy day. As she works hard to return the favor to him, a real relationship begins to develop between the two.

The new trailer posted on YouTube shows some of Amane and Miharu's most memorable moments from the first series, including the one where he first shared his umbrella with her. Within less than 24 hours, the video had already collected over 100,000 views. It ends with the reveal of the new visual by Hanekoto, the original illustrator, along with the announcement for an upcoming season. Right now, the trailer does not have any English, nor does it have a date for the new season.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten was originally a light novel series created by author Saekisan, with art illustrated by Hanekoto. It was originally published by Saekisan on the website "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" (Let's Become Novelists) in 2018 before being published in print volumes alongside Hanekoto's artwork in 2019. Finally, in January 2022, a manga adaptation was released. The light novel series is available in English by Yen Press.

In addition to the original source material and the 2022 manga, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten also became an anime this past January. Several big names in the anime industry worked on the project, including Keiichirou Ouchi (The Quintessential Quintuplets), Takayuki Noguchi (Queen's Blade: Rebellion), and Moe Hyuuga (Steins;Gate 0). The anime was streamed with English subtitles by Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan, so it is likely that the second season will be the same when it is released.
