During the battle against them, Hinata's life appears to flash before her eyes, revealing important information about her that we didn't know until this point.

In her previous life, Hinata suffered in an abusive home environment, with a father who wasted the family's finances on his gambling addiction. He would often beat and berate both Hinata and her mother, and whenever she tried to come to her mother's defense, her mother would defend her father's abusive actions. Eventually, when Hinata was 16 years old, she snapped and pushed her father off a cliff. Devastated by the loss of her father, Hinata's mother suffered a mental breakdown. Hinata came to believe that her actions, while done in the best interests of her mother, wound up being the final blow to any chance any of them had at happiness.

Young Hinata Sakaguchi Defeats Bandits – That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Season 3 Episode 10

She made the decision to take her mother out of her misery, thus making herself into an orphan; however, before she could do so, Hinata found herself being whisked away to the Central World of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, where she was immediately attacked by a trio of bandits. Disillusioned by the suffering she experienced in her past life, Hinata's experiences turned her into a cynic who believed that the only means of survival is to be strong and overcome in a dog-eat-dog world. This particular set of circumstances saw her arrive in her new world with two Unique Skills that enabled her to defeat her attackers. Shortly after defeating them, she was found by Shizu, who took her in as her disciple. Unique Skills are the manifestation of the mind or will of a powerful individual who experiences intense emotions, and these can be immensely powerful abilities rooted either in the body or the soul. According to Hinata, Shizu was the only person who was kind to her in this unfamiliar world.

Lady Luminous Revives Hinata Sakaguchi – That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Season 3 Episode 10

In Falmuth, Diablo defends the Rook Genius Saare from a lethal attack by the Clerics of the Seven Luminaries, thoroughly defeating them before a whole group of reporters. He told them to spread news of the developments, and forced King Edamaris to relinquish his throne to the champion Youm, thus ending the brewing civil conflict in the Kingdom of Falmuth. In Tempest, the three Clerics of the Seven Luminaries made their move, and one of them had actually been there this whole time as the Paladin of Fire, Garde, who was murdered and had his body stolen by the Luminary known as Ars. They try to use high-grade spells and immensely powerful magic to kill Rimuru and Hinata together; however, with help from Great Sage Raphael, the Beelzebub ability that was thought to be lost in the fight against Hinata was brought back, enabling the Demon Lord to tank all the attacks coming his way.

Rimuru From Hinata's POV – That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Season 3 Episode 10

Their onslaught was brought to an end when Demon Lord Valentine, or more appropriately, the individual behind the God Luminous and the entire faith of the Holy Empire of Lubelius, makes an appearance together with Louis Valentine, better known as the Holy Emperor himself. She promptly performs a miracle, reviving Hinata Sakaguchi and fully healing her wounds before attending to her corrupt underlings. She removes them from existence in one graceful move, leaving just one of them, Granville Rosso, to have his karma meted out by one of Hinata's most loyal allies, Nikolaus Spertus, who eliminates him with the Holy Magic, Disintegrate; however, Gran survives. When Hinata awakens, it is just after she has a memory of her master, Shizu, whose face is replaced by that of Rimuru as she comes to, indicating a full-circle moment for her and perhaps even a newfound respect for Rimuru at the same level of reverence as Shizu.
