A new That '90s Show trailer was released by Netflix. With it comes the first footage of Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong as their characters from That '70s Show.

That '90s Show was first announced by Netflix in October 2021, with Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their That '70s Show roles as Red Kitty and Foreman. Netflix's sequel series will focus on Leia, the daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti, but most of the original cast members of That '70s Show will make guest appearances in the first season.

Netflix's That '90s Show teaser trailer focused on Leia and her new friends from Point Place, but the full trailer finally gives fans a glimpse at what Eric, Donna, Michael Kelso, Jackie Burkhart, Fez, and Leo will be up to when they make their long-awaited return. The new That '90s Show trailer opens with Kitty preparing for Leia's summer visit while a frustrated Red laments the impending invasion of teenagers in his home. When Leia arrives at her grandparents' home, she introduces herself to the neighbourhood kids and quickly befriends them, despite being as awkward as her father was at her age. Fortunately for Leia, her newfound friends are also the kind people who "don't fit in."

The new That '90s Show trailer wraps with Kitty going to a hair salon owned by Fez, who is just as colourful as ever. While Red is none to pleased to have his house full of people again, Kitty is filled with joy. Quick flashes of footage with Leo, Kelso, and Jackie are followed by a scene of Eric and Donna receiving parenting advice from Red and Kitty. When Eric vows to stand behind Leia no matter what, Red seizes the opportunity to make one of his classic "foot-in-ass" jokes.

While the humor might not land for everyone, That '90s Show can probably succeed on nostalgia alone. Though the series took place in the '70s, it became a classic for a generation who grew up in the '90s and early 2000s, meaning the sequel series is playing to the right audience.

Of course, that doesn't mean fans will be thrilled with That '90s Show or where it takes the beloved characters from the original series. Even Kunis questioned where That '90s Show took Jackie and Kelso. Still, audiences are almost always up for revisiting characters from their past, so That '90s Show will almost certainly be a hit when it arrives.

That '90s Show will be released on Netflix on January 19, 2023.
