The way the crossplay works is that a team of four Victims joins the same lobby as the team of three Family members. All players on both sides could run the game on different platforms as long as they have a new-gen console or are playing on PC (Steam or Windows). Teammates will be aware of each other’s platform using the console or PC icons next to player names.

Joining a lobby as a team of four will always result in playing as Victims .

Players will need an invitation code to invite friends from other platforms. To get the code, the host must go to the “Party Options” and select “Create Party” before sharing the code with cross-platform players. Other players will need to enter the invitation code under the “Join Lobby” section in “Party Options.”

Inviting platform friends requires no additional steps, as players will be able to add them from their friend lists.

Some Xbox Series X|S players are hit with multiplayer errors while trying to matchmake with friends. To fix this, they will need to change their NAT type so it’s not Strict anymore. For that, players must port forward the Xbox services ports to TCP: 53, 80, 3074 and UDP: 53, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500.
