The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's October 24 update is now live, and Gun Interactive has officially released the patch notes for it. The previous Texas Chain Saw Massacre update was released last month.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title known for its unorthodox four-versus-three gameplay. It is only the second video game based on the 1974 horror film of the same name. Since its release, it has been praised for its faithfulness to the source material, even having actors and stunt doubles from the original film series providing voice work for their characters. Despite the praise for this and its gameplay, no game is perfect, and this one has been criticized for some technical and matchmaking problems. Fortunately, Gun Interactive is on the case, patching out more and more bugs with each update.

On Reddit, Gun Interactive's official account posted the full patch notes for the October 2023 update to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The first changes noted were a slew of new outfits for the four Victims, each one coming with three cosmetic variants. These can either be purchased one by one, or via the Victim Outfit Pack Bundle, which lets players purchase them all for a reduced price. A Slaughter Family Bloody Skins Pack is also present, complete with an extra bloody aesthetic. Finally, there's also a costume exclusive to Leatherface, which goes by the name "Nicotero Leatherface" and comes with exclusive sound effects as well as an exclusive universal execution.

Other changes were made to the gameplay. One of them fixes a bug that would cause players to lose XP if they disconnected while performing an execution, which should be great for Texas Chain Saw Massacre players hoping to level up. Match End Logic will also check for players who have disconnected, so others will not have to wait ten seconds to see the match's end. For some smaller changes, various character bios have been revised and updated, and Family members will now earn more XP upon performing certain actions, leveling the playing field between them and the Victims.

These patch notes seem short compared to the ones for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's September 2023 update. However, as revealed by a community representative in the comments, this patch is intentionally on the smaller side, as it's only meant to stabilize the current build of the game and prepare it for some bigger patches down the line. In that case, it should definitely be cool to see whatever Gun Interactive has in store for this title in the future.
