Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a multiplayer survival horror game based on the 70s slasher movie franchise. Players go head-to-head with each other as victims or family members. The main objective is to escape or kill all the victims, depending on the team they choose.

The available characters all have skills, attributes, and abilities that assist them and their teammates. After choosing a character, players can select their loadout, which consists of unlockable perks. The only way to unlock perks is to level up the individual characters and the player level. This guide has everything players need to know to level up quickly in Texas Chain Saw Massacre to create a solid build as a victim or family member.

How to Level Up Fast

Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Players will level up gradually as they compete and finish matches. At the end of a match, they are rewarded with all their earned XP, regardless of if they lost or won. How much XP a player earns depends on several things, including completed tasks, kills, escapes, and supporting their teammates.

Family members get XP by feeding Grandpa, using their special ability, and securing the property by turning on car batteries or generators. They are also reward points based on how many hits they land or victims they manage to kill. Even if they aren't the actual killer, family members will still get some XP for how many victims were taken down.

Victims earn XP whenever they complete stealth tasks such as picking locks, collecting unlock tools, and harvesting bone scraps. Escape tasks are another way to get XP, so make sure to repair fuses and destroy batteries.

Additionally, helping teammates and incapacitating Grandpa will also result in more XP. Many of these tasks players will do naturally throughout the match, but focusing on farming points is not a bad idea for those who want to level up quickly.

The amount of earned XP will be revealed at the end of the match. If players earn enough, they will level up and earn Skill Points that can be used to fill out their Skill Tree. Points used in the Skill Tree can be reallocated at any point for free if players decide they want a different loadout. They will also earn Attribute Points, which can be used to increase their base stats.

The more players use a certain character and increase their perks, the character level will go up. Each character maxes out at Level 10, but that doesn't mean they can't get stronger if players increase their perk levels.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
