The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game surpassed one million players online in the first 24 hours of it being available to play, so it's fair to say fans are enjoying the new asymmetrical multiplayer game. However, Texas Chain Saw Massacre still faces stiff competition from Dead By Daylight to dethrone it as the best interactive horror game on the market, but it has already made significant strides and may very well be on the way to succeeding.
One of the sections of the game receiving the most hype is the Slaughterhouse, where the Victims are faced with the challenge of escaping before Leatherface and his gang of human flesh-eating obsessives track them down. Victims find themselves trapped in this particular location, among many others, and there are certain tips to follow in order for them to survive the ordeal and progress to the inevitable next death trap.
Basement
When this particular round starts, the victim is captured in a cell in the basement, which is a pretty standard occurrence in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The victim starts off by freeing themselves from the chains, but doing this affects the noise meter, so players must take care if they don't want the hunters to figure out where the noise is coming from.
Next, the player must find the exit doors, these are situated in the tool storage, furnace room, north storage room, and the bone room. Any of these exits will lead to the slaughterhouse yard.
Slaughterhouse Yard
The victim will have made great strides to escape the slaughterhouse if they manage to reach the ground floor yard. Once escaping out of the basement, the victim will be at the back of the slaughterhouse facility, which is an absolute maze thanks to the fences spread around the area.
There are small sheds the victim can go into, but players should be careful as Grandpa can appear on the rooftops to cause havoc. Grandpa usually spawns in the tool storage rooftop and the facility courtyard, and he will alert the family members of the victim's whereabouts if there's too much stalling.
Fusebox Room
Taking this escape exit involves getting a fuse to take to a fusebox. Both of these will become available in the slaughterhouse yard, and players must make sure the values match when the fuse is inside the box if they want to open the gate.
The exit is back down in the basement, which can feel like going back on one's self, but players should keep going and avoid making too much noise as the hunters are on the prowl and waiting for the victim to make a fatal mistake. Eventually, the victim will find the fusebox room which will take them to the exit and ultimately freedom.
Pressure Valve Exit
Players must bring a tool to this exit, as the victim will need it to escape from this location, prying the valve handle from the pipe to escape. The pipes can be found all over the slaughterhouse yard, so keep a lookout for them. The player must then overload the pump connected to the pressure-controlled gate.
To make this exit route more difficult for the player, there are around three handles and only one pump in the death matches. Valve handles can be found in the facility backdoor, the windmill, and the exterior of the slaughterhouse; valve pumps can be found in Leatherface's room and the furnace room. Players should take care not to come into contact with the masked serial killer as he will not hesitate to kill the victim for snooping in his room, and also just because he likes killing a lot.
Loading Dock
This exit requires the player to go through the facility to get to the loading dock, bringing at least one tool along with them for the ride. Once the player reaches the gate, there are two options. Unlock it first, or find the yellow cable that will be attached to the gate, which will lead the victim to a car battery or a generator.
The player should know the drill by now. Kick the generator until it breaks or turn the car battery off, which will, in turn, disable the cattle grid. When the grid goes out, players can unlock the gate, and then it's time to make it out of the location once and for all. Once all of these steps have been followed, the victim will be able to make their escape.
Parking Lot
This exit is an interesting one, as the victim must go through the south facility to get to the parking lot exit. The player needs a tool with them as well, as per usual.
Similar to the loading dock exit, the steps in unlocking the first gate are as follows: find the yellow cable attached to the gate and find the car battery or the generator. The rest is the same as the instructions for the loading dock exit. It's a relatively straightforward exit, so it depends on what kind of fun the player wants to have whilst escaping.
