Terraria has a large number of items, including a variety of valuable equipment. Some of these items can protect you, some will give you new abilities, and some will actually allow you to fly in the sky. Wings are a piece of equipment that is almost impossible to get anywhere except the Hardcore world. However, the ability to fly and fall without taking damage is worth all your effort. This guide will detail how to get Wings in Terraria.

How To Get Wings In Terraria

Wings in Terraria

Terraria has over 40 different Wings and almost all of them can be obtained by defeating bosses, through crafting, buying from NPCs, or as a drop from Treasure Bags.

All the above methods require you to achieve Hardcore mode.

There is one Wing that can be obtained much more easily. Players can get Fledgling Wings in Terraria from the very beginning of the game by starting Journey Mode, or from one of the Azure Crates, Sky Crates, or Skyware Chests. As for the rest, you will have to spend more time tracking down the best wings in Terraria.

How To Use Wings In Terraria

Wings in Terraria

Once you equip your Wings, you can fly by pressing and holding the Jump key in Terraria. But it is worth noting that each such item has a different flight time. And as soon as it ends, you will begin to fall. If you continue to hold the Jump key, your character will glide.

However, you don't have to worry about taking damage if you fall. While you have Wings on, you cannot take fall damage in Terraria. The exception is the Stoned debuff, which cancels all of these effects. To reset the flight time, you must stand on hard surfaces, such as blocks. Alternatively, players can use climbing items, for example, the Hook.
