The amorphous purple blob known as Ditto has been a staple in the Pokemon series since it first appeared. Temtem, a Pokemon-like creature collecting and battling game from developer Crema, has several unique looking creatures, but nothing that compares to Ditto. However, it looks like that is about to change.

While players may find many similarities to the Pokemon series, Crema has developed several ways to make Temtem stand on its own. Temtem recently released for PS5, and originally released on PC at the beginning of 2020. The game pretty much functions as an MMO and has a story campaign that can be done fully co-op if players want.

The official Temtem Twitter account teased a new upcoming creature with extreme close-ups of a creature's eye and greenish body. The more interesting part comes from the caption, which says that this new Temtem can replicate any other Temtem, sounding a lot like the Pokemon Ditto. This new creature also has a tail containing a "genomic reservoir" which makes it perfect for breeding Temtem. The person behind the account also comically tweeted that they never thought their job would include "posting feet pics on Twitter," but here they are.

While Temtem makes an effort to not be too similar to the Pokemon series, it makes sense for the game to have its own version of Ditto. The process of breeding creatures to get the best stats is a common practice in both the Pokemon series and Temtem.

Another user on Twitter pointed out that the account has actually teased this new Temtem before, which happens to be conveniently covered by a sheet in the game's artwork for Halloween.

While the next step is to see what the creature actually looks like, it's yet to be known what place the creature will have in the broader world of Temtem. The first Temtem, #001, still hasn't been released yet, so a creature with the genetics of all Temtem in its own body could be a likely candidate for that spot. This new creature could also be one of the Mythical Temtem teased on the game's content Road Map. Whatever the case, fans will just need to wait until Crema wants to fully reveal this interesting new Temtem.

Temtem is available now on PC and PS5. A port is currently in the works for the Switch and Xbox Series X/S.
