Of the various monster collecting games out there, Temtem has managed to stand out from the competition. The MMO by Crema brings players together to capture and train battle-ready creatures. Now, a recent update has brought the first Mythic Lair to support Temtem's end game.

Throughout the game, aspiring tamers gather on the Airborne Archipelago comprising of several islands. The most recent update brings the new Cipanku Island territory to the world. While this locale offers plenty of unique Temtem, it also sees the introduction of lairs. End game content like this typically has a group of players working through difficult challenges to earn rewards, and Temtem's version seems to follow that trend.

Based on the reveal, a tamer and up to four other players can join together to take on this Mythic Lair. Found in the Anak Caldera, those seeking the tribulation will want to fast travel to Temtem's Anak Volcano. Keep in mind, to even access the lair each player will need a range of Temtem currently in their squads. Enabling the Mythic Lair requires turning on activation devices, and these will check for certain creatures before going online.

Upon entering, each Tamer will appear in a specific route through the lair. Players will need to utilize randomized Temtem and items to get through its obstacles. Communication is key, as items are shared in the group and deciding on mythic jewels can affect the outcome. After earning 18 of these gems, tamers can take on the Mythical Temtem Tyranak, and if they win the team earns rewards and can claim the Mythic beast for their squads.

Overall, this looks like a solid way to keep players engaging with the world of Temtem. Since the lair shakes up the combat and requires all different types of Temtem, there will a consistent challenge. Now that the update is out, tamers can hop on with their friends and allies to take on the Mythic Lair.

Temtem is available now on PC and PS5. Ports are in the works for the Switch and Xbox Series X/S.
