Telltale's Walking Dead tells one of the most heart-wrenching video game stories ever. It follows the story of Lee and Clementine and how they form a strong connection amidst a zombie outbreak. The pair grows to care deeply for one another but, sadly, their journey together meets its end during the climax of Season 1.

Season 2 of Telltale's Walking Dead sees Clementine embarking on a new adventure without Lee to protect her. She meets a wide assortment of different characters throughout her ventures, but none can replace the man who protected her during the first season. She will be forced to make some truly terrible decisions throughout this season, some of which have severe consequences.

7 Leaving Or Killing The Dog - Episode 1: All That Remains

Clem and a stray dog in The Walking Dead

Some time has passed since the events of Season 1 and Clementine has hardened in response to the world around her. With Lee gone, Christa stepped in to fill the role of mentor, but Clementine will need to learn how to survive on her own when the two get separated. While scavenging an abandoned campsite for food, she happens upon a stray dog who, as luck would have it, is also in search of sustenance.

Upon locating a can of beans, however, the dog lunges at the unsuspecting Clem and latches onto her arm. Clem kicks the dog to protect herself but inadvertently causes the starving pup to get impaled by two metal pipes. She will then need to decide whether she should kill the dog and spare it from suffering or let it die painfully.

6 Forgiving Nick's Clumsiness - Episode 1: All That Remains

Nick aims his rifle in The Walking Dead

Clementine passes out shortly after being attacked by the dog, but not before meeting an unlikely group of survivors. She eventually awakens to see a family discussing what they should do with her and whether it would be safer to simply shoot her.

When Clem tries to explain her situation, Nick fires his gun, almost killing her. Upon convincing the group she means no harm, Nick attempts to apologize for his clumsiness, leaving the player the choice to decide how Clem reacts. If Clem forgives him, Nick will thank her for her understanding. If not, he will later complain to Pete about Clem being difficult.

5 Saving Pete Or Nick - Episode 1: All That Remains

Nick lays on the ground in The Walking Dead

Clem will be forced to make an incredibly difficult choice during the climax of the first episode. Both Pete and Nick have been surrounded and grabbed by walkers, leaving Clementine as the only person capable of saving them. Choosing who to save is undoubtedly tough, but a choice must be made for the story to progress.

Opting to save Nick will result in Pete being consumed by a walker while saving Nick will force Pete to flee the area in search of sanctuary. Prior to making the decision, a bite mark can be seen on Pete's leg, so it may be wise to prioritize Nick's safety over his friend's.

4 Picking Sides - Episode 2: A House Divided

As if there wasn't already enough conflict among Clem's new group, the introduction of Kenny's gang makes the situation much more complex. The groups don't immediately see eye to eye and tend to stick to themselves, forcing Clementine to choose between the two.

After both groups have settled down for a meal, Clementine will need to decide who she wants to sit with. Choosing Kenny's gang will cause Luke to feel resentful while choosing Luke will do the same for Kenny. Each scenario plays out mostly the same, but the outcomes may differ depending on who Clem picks.

3 Saving Or Sparing Sarita - Episode 3: In Harm's Way

Sarita From Telltale Walking Dead Season 2 Holding A Rifle

Clementine and her group may have escaped Carver's clutches, but they are not free from danger just yet. A horde of walkers have surrounded their location, forcing the group to escape using less practical means. By smearing themselves with blood, the gang manages to travel through the horde without being detected.

The plan goes off mostly without a hitch, that is until Sarita gets bitten by a walker. Amidst all the chaos, Clem is the only person able to decide Sarita's fate. Killing her would presumably stop Sarita's screams from drawing the walker's attention, but cutting her arm off could very well save her if done fast enough.

2 Saving Or Abandoning Sarah - Episode 4: Amid The Ruins

Clementine and Sarah in The Walking Dead

Sarah has caused countless problems for Clementine since her introduction. The photograph she took of herself resulted in Carver kidnapping her family, and some of her later actions led to the deaths of several people.

Though she has caused great suffering, it is up to the player to decide whether she can be redeemed or not. Sarah has suffered a great deal of trauma due to the deaths of her loved ones and has subsequently lost the will to go on. It is left to Clementine to try and convince her to keep living, otherwise, she will remain motionless and allow a hoard of walkers to eat her.

1 Shoot Kenny Or Look Away - Episode 5: No Going Back

Kenny stares at Clementine in The Walking Dead

The climax of Season 1 saw Clementine losing her most valued protector and father figure, Lee. Many believed that she would never have to make a choice this difficult ever again, but this assumption is revealed to be incorrect by the end of Season 2.

Kenny and Jane never saw eye to eye, evident through their constant bickering and hateful comments toward one another. Things take a turn, however, when Jane hides Alvin Jr., spurring Kenny to attack. Clementine can either shoot Kenny to save Jane or look away, allowing Kenny to kill her. This is arguably the most important decision in Season 2, especially due to how it affects the events in Season 3.

Telltale's Walking Dead is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
