The Game Awards 2019 goes live very soon, but there's still time for one more major leak. In the hours leading up to the show, two major Telltale Games-related rumors grew out of nothing. First, Hong Kong-based studio Athlon Games leaked a press release announcing The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition, a collection of Telltale's Batman adventure game seasons and some new DLC. Second, several off-camera leaks teased that The Wolf Among Us 2 would be reannounced. The Game Awards looks like it's going to deliver yet again.

Regarding The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition, the leak is rather substantial given that the source is one of the studios involved in the game's development. The press release confirms that the game will include all 5 chapters of the original Batman: The Telltale Series adventure game, as well as all 5 chapters in the Batman: The Enemy Within sequel series. The Shadows Edition DLC is unfortunately not story-based, but adds a "noir-style visual makeover" and a visual upgrade to the game. The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition is supposed to launch today.

As for The Wolf Among Us 2, the rumor is much less reliable. Early Thursday a Redditor posted several short off-camera clips supposedly recorded from a The Game Awards 2019 rehearsal. The clips shows off Fables protagonist Bigby Wolf smoking a cigarette. The leaker claims that The Wolf Among Us 2 will be announced shortly after the Batman rerelease with a short teaser. It should be noted that the official Telltale Games Twitter account has recently changed its Twitter avatar to Bigby's face.

Telltale Games fans won't have to wait long to find out whether or not the both rumors are true. Both The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition and The Wolf Among Us 2 are said to be announced and shown during The Game Awards 2019, which is starting very soon. The show runs is planned to run for around 2 and a half hours, so fans will have the rumors confirmed or proved wrong before 8:00 pm PT.

For those confused about the situation, given Telltale Games' recent mass layoffs and supposed wrap up of game development, things have since changed. Telltale Games was purchased in August by LCG Entertainment, a holding company owned by industry investors. This isn't the same Telltale Games, with many of those developers shifting over to Skybound Games. Rather, Telltale is shopping its properties out to other studios. As such, expectations may need to be managed for future Telltale-related products.

The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition launches today, or soon, on Nintendo Switch PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Wolf Among Us 2 has no leaked release window or supported platforms.
