Telltale's first outing since returning as an active studio was a prequel to the sci-fi TV show The Expanse. Players take the role of Camina Drummer, once again played by actress Cara Gee, the captain of an independent salvage/scavenger vessel.
As in the show, Drummer is a great character to play with as her commitment to her crew and the salvager lifestyle shines through and creates numerous interesting moments and dynamics for players to contend with.

Mira Forrester is one of the five playable characters in Game of Thrones. Centered around the northern House Forrester in the aftermath of the Red Wedding, the driving force of Mira's story is achieving influence for her family as the handmaiden of Margaery Tyrell.
Mira has to go through numerous challenges, including a confrontation with Cersei Lannister, to help her family. She is resourceful and loyal to her family and players have the final choice as to the sort of person Mira becomes.

Although a pre-established character, Tales of Monkey Island marked a great return for the franchise as Telltale put Threepwood's comedic charm and unusual charism at the heart of it.

Clementine takes up the role of protagonist in two of four The Walking Dead games. Players get to witness firsthand the transformation of Clementine from a scared little girl in season 1 to a strong protector by season 4.
Her desire to help other people shines through and, by the end of the last season, she is taking on the role that Lee was doing for her in the first season. However, by this point, she is more well-equipped and ready to deal with this challenge due to the journey players take her on.

The second chance comes in the form of protecting Clementine and trying to build a better future for her. Every decision he makes is through the prism of helping Clementine and this is at the core of what makes him one of gaming's great protagonists.
