Jin Kazama will face his destiny by reuniting with his mother, Jun Kazama, a character who hasn't been seen since 2011's Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Jun's return is not the only one in the game, which will welcome back other veterans such as Feng. In preparation for the next battle, Tekken 8 has released a new trailer with another name to join the roster.

Tekken 8 Has Promising Online Connection

The producer behind Tekken 8 states that he was impressed at the latest results from the Closed Network Test, having a promising online connection.

Tekken 8 has released an exciting trailer revealing the new character Victor Chevalier. The video shows an old gentleman dressed in an elegant gray suit as he takes on other opponents like Raven, a fighter who is back in Tekken 8. What is most striking about the gameplay trailer is that Victor uses different weapons such as a pistol, which gives him access to a long-range projectile, and a dagger for quick, lethal blows. Chevalier also uses a laser sword for longer-range attacks and has a teleport similar to the one Final Fantasy 14's Noctis had in Tekken 7. Victor's setting couldn't be more appropriate, with the fights taking place aboard a yacht with Paris and the Eiffel Tower in the background.

With the nickname "refined violence," Victor Chevalier is a name of great importance in Tekken lore. He is the first French Tekken character and a living legend who founded and trained the Raven Force. Made up of a class of secret agent ninjas, two of the organization's best-known operatives are Raven and Master Raven. Along with gameplay, the trailer revealed that Victor is voiced by French actor Vincent Cassel, famous for works such as Black Swan, Ocean's Twelve, and Westworld. With Victor, fans know 31 fighters from Tekken 8's launch roster, with only one name left to be announced.

Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 stole the limelight this year with exciting entries for their respective franchises. Tekken 8 won't arrive until next year, but despite the wait, fans are still very excited about the game. After all, after the success that Tekken 7 represented for the series, players can't help but have high expectations for what Tekken 8 has in store.
