A new gameplay trailer for Tekken 8 was accidentally leaked by Tekken's official account, confirming that Bryan Fury will be playable in the upcoming fighting game. Bandai Namco has recently confirmed that it will bring back Hwoarang, the fan-favorite character known for his speed and powerful arsenal of kicks. Fans are now celebrating the return of Bryan Fury, a corrupt cop who has been a mainstay since Tekken 3.

It looks like Bandai Namco won't give up keeping players hyped with new character trailers, which give fans a glimpse of their abilities and combat styles. For example, the developers have confirmed that Nina Williams will return in Tekken 8 when the game is released in late 2023 or early 2024. In addition to expanding the roster of playable characters, Tekken 8 will enhance the gameplay with a brand-new mechanic called the "Heat System," which helps players harness aggressiveness as offensive attacks into their playstyle.

Tekken's official account on Instagram accidentally posted a gameplay trailer dedicated to Bryan Fury, confirming that he will join the roster of Tekken 8. Though it was deleted immediately, one Tekken fan who goes by S0phon uploaded the trailer on Reddit, sparking a debate around the character's design and voice. The trailer showcases Bryan Fury combining punches and knee attacks to decimate his opponents. He also performs high and mid-kicks to create electrifying combos.

In the comments, some players claimed that more deviation from the character's original design would have been nice. One Bryan Fury fan shared their disappointment with this new design, saying that they wanted to see the character becoming less of a human. Although Bandai Namco added new details like a little skull to Bryan's leg, some players argued that the studio could have used a few other changes to fuel the hype.

The return of Bryan Fury wouldn't be surprising, as he has been a regular in almost every mainline Tekken game to date. Having made his introduction in 1997's Tekken 3, the former police officer has become a fan-favorite character thanks to his visually satisfying hits. He will now show off his unique style of Kickboxing and prove his pressuring capabilities even against the strongest opponents in Tekken 8.

Other returning characters include Leroy Smith and Asuka Kazama, who fans can recognize as a member of the Kazama bloodline. Asuka has a variety of superhuman attributes like agility and reflexes, while Leroy Smith is known for his aptitude for a defensive game. Both characters have proved their worth against formidable enemies in their own respective storylines.

Tekken 8 is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
