Some of the scenes are very brief and simply consist of a bit of dialogue, while others are much more flashy and intense, making the battle at hand a lot more noteworthy as a result. Now that Tekken 8 is finally here, it's time to take a look at some of the most entertaining intros that players can expect to see if they come up against a particular combatant during their experience with the game.

7 Lars And Jin

Jin And His Half-Uncle Share A Competitive Fist Bump Before Going At It

Lars and Jin bumping fists

Due to Jin's questionable actions during the previous games, partly due to the nature of his Devil Gene, it caused quite a split between him and his half-uncle Lars. Thankfully, over the course of the wider story, the two come to realize that they have a lot in common. While they do follow very different martial arts, both of them are very similar in the way they fight, and this is showcased during their intro.

After both men promise that they'll give everything they've got in the oncoming duel, they quickly take the same stance before bumping fists, causing a multicolored spark of powerful electricity to fly above them. Not only does this intro showcase just how close the two have become, but it's also a perfect way to highlight the similarities that they both share and their immense power.

6 Alisa And Jack-8

Alisa Proves That She's As Clumsy As She Is Dangerous When Coming Up Against Jack-8

Tekken-8-Jack-8

As a fighter, Alisa's large arsenal of weapons and deadly contraptions make her extremely dangerous, but she's also known for being a very clumsy android who isn't above making mistakes every now and again. When paired up against the menacing behemoth known as Jack-8, Alisa decides to introduce herself by bowing, only for her head to fly off and roll toward her opponent.

After analyzing it for a second and seemingly not realizing what just happened, Jack tosses the head back onto Alisa's body where it re-connects automatically, leading her to thank him for his kindness. While most intros will see the characters provoking one another to heat up the fight, this much more carefree interaction makes it seem as though the two are actually friends, and it's a hilarious way to kick off a fiery battle between the two deadly androids.

5 Lili And Asuka

Lili And Asuka's Intense Argument Instantly Raises The Stakes Of Their Match

Lili and Asuka

Lili and Asuka have had one of the most intense rivalries in the series, with the two always challenging one another to a fight in order to prove once and for all who is truly the strongest. Therefore, it only makes sense that they would bicker a little before a fight, and that's exactly what they do in their special intro where Lili kicks off the argument by asking what sort of excuse Asuka has up her sleeve for when she loses.

Asuka, who's clearly heard enough by this point, tells her ignorant rival to stop her babbling before the two engage in a fierce face-to-face, which is very reminiscent of their iconic scene in the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 intro. While this special interaction is pretty funny, the trash talk also does a great job of pumping players up for their fight since they know that bragging rights are on the line.

4 Steve And King

Steve Tries To Prove That His Hard-Hitting Punches Can Cut Through King's Rock-Solid Defense

Steve punching King's arms

When a hard-hitting boxer and professional wrestler enter an arena, it's pretty much guaranteed that an explosive fight is about to go down, but Steve and King show off their immense strength even before the match has begun. Hoping to get a sneaky shot at his opponent, Steve decides to lunge at King with a massive haymaker, only for the masked luchador to block it with his arms to protect himself.

As the camera lingers on the attack, King's muscles start flexing as he begins charging up, eventually letting out a wild growl to let Steve know that he's not playing around. Not only does the intro perfectly highlight just how immensely powerful both of these fighters are in their own right, but it also demonstrates the biggest difference between the two in how they fight, primarily in the sense that Steve will take any chance he gets, while King is a lot more honorable as a combatant.

3 Law And Paul

Law And Paul Tease One Another Before Clashing Fists In This Epic Encounter

Law and Paul facing off

Despite being almost entirely different in their personalities, Lee and Paul have long been best friends who love nothing more than going head-to-head with one another to test their fighting skills. When the two meet face to face in Tekken 8, Law asks whether Paul can truly keep up with his speed, while Paul replies that there's no way Law will stand a chance against his tremendous power.

As the two clash fists, they let out a jolly laugh, signifying that they're thrilled to be facing each other once again without taking the fight too seriously. As mentioned previously, Law and Paul have an incredibly close bond that is perfectly encapsulated in this intro, where the two tease one another to spice up the fight while also showcasing just how much they love taking part in these types of challenges.

2 Victor And Dragunov

Victor And Dragunov Prove They Have A History In This Stunning Introduction

Victor about to slash Dragunov from behind

Despite being a newcomer to the series, Victor has already made a huge impression on fans thanks to his endless charisma and stylish fashion sense, so it seems quite strange that his intro would be paired up with none other than the cold and merciless soldier known as Dragunov. However, the two actually have a very unique intro scene that not only looks amazing, but that also shares a few tidbits about their backstories.

While it starts off with Dragunov calmly walking around the stage while humming a tune to himself, he's soon forced to dodge out of the way of a lightning-fast sword slash that comes from behind him. As he barely escapes the attack, Victor comments on the fact that it's been a while since they've seen each other and even goes as far as to call Dragunov the "White Angel of Death." To top it all off, Dragunov will even start the match by crawling his way onto the battlefield, adding a little bit of humor to this otherwise very tense and fascinating interaction shared between the two.

1 Jun And Devil Jin

Jun's Attempts To Free Jin From The Devil Gene Make The Oncoming Fight A Very Personal One

Jun trying to help Jin from the power of the Devil Gene

When it was first announced that Jun would be making a return to Tekken 8, speculation ran wild on how exactly she would interact with the likes of Jin and Kazuya, especially when the former activates his vicious Devil Form. When the two square off, there's actually a small interaction that activates, which proves just how much Jun cares for Jin and the sheer disdain she has for the Devil Gene in general. Noticing that Jin's been consumed by its power, Jun summons a special aura in an attempt to free Jin from the Devil Gene's control while also pleading with him to try and fight it.

While he does show some hesitation at first, he quickly uses his strength to bat away his mother's influence, creating a giant whirlwind of red energy that Jun is forced to protect herself against. The multiple effects used within this intro make it a real feast for the eyes, but it is also an excellent interaction for making the fight at hand feel incredibly personal, putting the stakes much higher than they've ever been considering the relationship between the two.
