Although many superhero stories exist, there are few as unique as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With their battles against the Shredder and various adventures over the years, the 4 brothers have garnered a wide group of fans young and old. While there have been many previous incarnations of the turtles, another group is about to join the fold.

Originating as a 1984 comic book, the turtles eventually found mainstream success with merchandise and the first animated series. In the decades that followed, TMNT would get several more TV series, their own playable games, and even star in multiple movies. Although the newest TV versions of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael have been running around since 2018, the brothers haven't been on the big screen since their last film in 2016. However, that's all about to change since these turtles are getting another reboot.

In contrast to the last 2 live-action films, the newest TMNT movie will be CGI-animated which hasn't been done since 2007. Along with other big names confirmed on the project, Seth Rogen will be producing the film. While some fans are hesitant to be optimistic after the first reboot series, Seth Rogen has previous experience working on comic book adaptation such as The Boys. Furthermore, Nickelodeon described the new movie as a reinvention for the series after taking the lessons learned under the Michael Bay films to heart.

While there is no confirmed release date yet, the movie likely won't be out for several years especially with current events. But the future looks bright for the TMNT brothers and fans should expect a shell of a time once they are back in action.
