The Claw Machine is an activity in Tchia, and while it is not mandatory that players engage with it, there are reasons for them to do so. Specifically, there are cosmetics trapped inside Claw Machines, and fans will need to fish these items out before they can equip Tchia with them. Tchia: Claw Machine Guide
There are two Claw Machines in Tchia: one in Tingeting on the east coast of Ija Noj and one in Aemoon on the north side of Madra Noj. For full clarity, the precise positions of those machines have been marked on the maps that are below, though players can reveal them on the in-game map by shouting from the Points of View in the vicinity.
Upon locating a Claw Machine, players are sure to notice that there is bin attached to its front. In order to engage with this Tchia activity, fans must select a trophy from the titular protagonist's backpack and drop it into that bin, and they will get three tries regardless of the type of trophy that they use.
As a brief aside, trophies are earned from the various challenges that are scattered across the map, which can be easily located by visiting Points of View. While fans are certainly free to use their preferred challenge type for amassing trophies, Tchia's Diving Board Challenges are a great way to earn them extremely quickly. Indeed, the brevity of these challenges makes it possible to claim a trophy every few seconds, provided that players use the "restart current challenge" option upon completing a dive.
Once a trophy has been placed into the bin, fans of PlayStation console exclusives can take control of the Claw Machine, and they should set their sights on the shiny orbs inside. Indeed, it is those orbs that contain cosmetic items, and the most-consistent way to claim them is to end the claw's movement when it is directly above the desired orb.
With respect to how players can go about getting the claw into that position, the process is as follows:
- Press X to move the claw to the right, and press X again to stop the claw when it is in line with the desired orb.
- Press X to move the claw toward the back of the machine, and press X again when it is directly above the orb.
To note, a red circle emanates from the claw, and it makes it much easier to understand how it is positioned during movement. Players are thus advised to focus on that circle, though doing so will certainly not guarantee that they receive a prize every time. That said, fans of open-world indie games that exercise patience and persistence should eventually beat the Claw Machine and claim its cosmetics.
