Ahead of Black Friday, Target revealed its "buy two, get one free" sale on video games, books, and toys, running from November 5 to 11. Though the advertisement for this sale is far from Target's more nostalgic ads, some of the largest offerings that are part of the deal include 2023 titles such as Final Fantasy 16, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and Sonic Superstars.

In recent years, Black Friday has gone from being a one-day event on Thanksgiving weekend into a month-long sale period across multiple retailers. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, these deals have also extended to online storefronts as well. In addition to Target, other competitors such as Walmart and Best Buy have started their early Black Friday sales ahead of time. Some of the items offered in those sales ranged from laptops to TVs and other electronics. In Target's early Black Friday deal, media is the main focus, with deals on various titles that gamers can take advantage of for the next few days.

Target Early Black Friday Buy 2, Get 1 Free Deal

However, the Target deal does have a few caveats for gamers to keep track of. The "buy two, get one game free" offer will only apply the discount to the cheapest game of the three. However, if all the games cost the same, then it will apply to any one of them. One of the most recent titles on the list of sale-eligible items is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. While most of the games listed are shown at full price, gamers will still be able to pick from a variety of genres and titles.

  • Assassin's Creed Mirage
  • Avatar The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • EA Sports FC 24
  • EA Sports NHL 24
  • Final Fantasy 16
  • Forza Motorsport
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Just Dance 2024 Edition
  • Madden NFL 24
  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • NBA 2K24
  • Sonic Superstars
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  • The Grinch: Christmas Adventures

While the main advertisement features a handful of games, there are more available on Target's website. More items are set to be offered as part of the deal throughout the week. Twitter user Wario64 pointed out that other games such as Tchia and Samba de Amigo: Party Central were added after the fact. Shoppers should continue to check back throughout the week to see which titles have been added to the list, and which ones have sold out.

Despite Target's downscaling of Xbox games on the shelves, that has not stopped the store from listing titles as part of its early Black Friday deals. With Black Friday still a few weeks away, gamers will have plenty of choices to make to save some money.
