Tales of Arise, the latest in the long-running Tales series from Bandai Namco, has had little new information revealed since it was announced at E3 2019. Despite this, the game was recently listed as fans' most anticipated game according to Famitsu magaizine. Any bit of information about the elusive title is enough to get fans excited, so when Bandai Namco producer Yusuke Tomizawa makes a statement during the "Tales of Series 25 Anniversary stream," fans take notice.

What is known about Tales of Arise at this point is it takes place between two worlds, the medieval world of Dahna, and the advanced world of Rena. The protagonists come from the two different worlds, but travel together on a journey. Pretty standard. However, Tales games can take a standard plot and build a great game around it. Each new Tales game has the potential to be a standout hit.

The latest update on the status of Tales of Arise is that an update is coming soon. Tomizawa indicates that "development is progressing extremely smoothly" with the promise that much more information on the game will be available in 2021. The game was supposed to be released in 2020, but has been delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tomizawa offered no information regarding a release date, or even a window for release, so fans will just have to wait until the new year to learn more.

Excitement for the Tales franchise is still strong. Tales of Vesperia recently appeared on Xbox Game Pass as the game still holds up 10 years after its release. This should tide fans over who are waiting for more Tales of Arise info.
