Members in the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus can now play a time-limited trial for Tactics Ogre: Reborn. PS Plus Premium users get all the features included in Essential and Extra with some bonuses at a higher price point. As an example, subscribers in the Premium tier can play select PS1, PS2, and PSP games, in addition to the ability to stream PS3 titles.

Trials are a unique feature of PS Plus Premium, as they allow players to try out the full version of the game for a few hours. This hands-on experience can allow gamers to make an informed purchasing decision, as users can get an idea of the story and the gameplay mechanics in this time frame. Now, Sony has added a trial for a highly-rated Square Enix game from 2022.

PS Plus Premium members can download a two-hour trial for Tactics Ogre: Reborn as a part of their subscription tier. Players should note that the countdown is based on the running time of the application, so they need to close the game from the PS5 menu for it to stop. While two hours may sound low for a game like Tactics Ogre: Reborn, it still gives interested customers a hands-on experience that can help in making a purchase-related decision.

The duration of the trial available to PS Plus Premium users depends upon the game, and it can range from one to even five hours of gameplay. As an example, Gotham Knights and Ghostwire: Tokyo got one-hour trials on PS Plus, while the trials for Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077 last for five hours.

Most recently, PS Plus Premium added a trial for Persona 5 Royal, one of the highest-rated games from 2022. Even though it allows subscribers to play Persona 5 Royal for up to four hours, it may not be enough to finish the long intro of the game, as users are given free rein at around the five-hour mark. Still, a four-hour period is enough for gamers to get a general idea of the gameplay concepts and themes of Persona 5 Royal.

A recent leak suggested that Sony is adding one of the best PSP games to the PS Plus Premium library, as Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is set to launch on the service at some point in the future. Gamers will also be able to earn trophies in Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror whenever it hits PlayStation Plus.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
