Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga is a fantasy tactics RPG, in the vein of titles like Tactics Ogre and Fire Emblem. It includes a robust set of features, such as a complex squad formation mechanic, 50 customizable unit classes, and a wide range of memorable characters.

LIke some of the games that inspired it, Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga has a bond system, where characters grow closer throughout the story, improving both each other's stats and storylines. These bonds can grow into ironclad friendships or romantic relationships.

Of course, in this title, characters can't be paired freely. Their options are limited by their preferences and personality, and players need to keep that in mind when deciding which relationships to follow.

Spoilers and Considerations

Symphony of War The Nephilim Saga Diana and Stefan Dialogue

A few words of warning before continuing: First, this list will contain some spoilers, listing some characters that join in the latter half of Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga's campaign.

Second, the NPCs aren't the only ones with limited romantic options. Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga allows players to choose the protagonist's gender. While the overall story will be the same either way, this will change who the protagonist can be romantically paired off with.

Third: This game doesn't allow for polyamory or divorce. Once two characters have hitched up, they can't be broken up again to explore other options. Thankfully, it's hard to propose accidentally. Conversations that lead to romance will have a heart icon, while ones that confirm friendship will have a handshake icon.

Lastly: Each character has a canon partner, one the developer had in mind when creating them. That being said, there's no specific benefit to going for the canon pairing over the non-canon pairings, so the in-game labeling is just there for flavor and authorial intent. In this list, the canon pairings will be bolded. Some characters have no canon pairing, and a single character has two possible canon pairings.
